Guest guest
Thanks, Alice! Great site! Sono spiacente, ma non posso capirlo. Sono sordo. (I am sorry, but I cannot understand you. I am deaf.) If I just keep repeating this, maybe they won't think I'm an Ugly American?!? Fisk Atlanta, GA CII 4/25/03, hook-up 5/27/03, HiRes 6/25/03 Re: How do I Say " Huh? Guest guest
Have a good trip and have fun! Check out those Italian men lol. How do I Say " Huh? " in Italian Hi y'all, I'm leaving on Friday for a couple of weeks in Italy. I don't speak a word of Italian, and am concerned about being able to tell people I can't hear. Does anyone know how to say " I'm deaf " or something along those lines in Italian? Or a website I could check to find out? Grazie, Fisk Atlanta, GA CII 4/25/03, hook-up 5/27/03, HiRes 6/25/
Guest guest
, www.freetranslation.com is prefect for you: I'm deaf: Sono sordo. I am sorry, I only speak English: Sono dolente, parlo soltanto Inglese. Do you speak English?: Lei parla Inglese? ^k^k^k^kIk^k^k^k^
Guest guest
Maybe sign a little, too? When people walk up and start asking rude questions about our daughter's (adopted Russian) prosthetic leg I simply stare at them and sign " Deaf. Not understand. " whether I understand or not. Get's 'em EVERY time! :-) Have fun on your trip! I've never been there, but my wife has and she tells me Florence is beautiful. -Jeff > Hi y'all, > > I'm leaving on Friday for a couple of weeks in Italy. Guest guest
Jeff, I never learned sign language. I took a class, and I could sign ok, but couldn't understand anyone else's signs. Quite useless for me! I was in Italy on my honeymoon, so this is my second visit. We're not going to Florence this time--Venice, Tuscany, Umbria, and Rome. I can't wait! -----Original Message----- Maybe sign a little, too?
