Guest guest
Sunburn Sunburn usually appears within a few hours of exposure. It causes pain, redness, swelling and occasional blistering. If a large area is exposed, sunburn can cause headache, fever and fatigue. Herbal Treatments * Take a cool bath or shower. * Apply fresh Aloe Vera several times a day. * Leave blisters alone. This will speed healing and avoid infection. If the blisters burst open, apply an antibiotic to the open areas. There are a few natural antibiotics you can use, such as: Goldenseal, St. swort, and Yerba Mansa. Sometimes soaking in acv will help. Black tea is also a good soaking ingredient to take the "burn" out. CAUTION: If your sunburn begins to blister and you experience immediate complications, such as rash, itching or fever, you may want to seek some type of medical assistance. Suzi What is a weed? Guest guest
Every sunburn rates a happy dance, imo...too many not tanning / not burning kids out there - and in (my) biomed land, that is rather uncool....My girl has not had the inflamed burning (ouch! for your daughter - aloe was always my favorite for the major burns), but has had reddishness this year, that has me doing my happy dance celebrating, and also, like your girl, for the first time in her 4yo life...and for myself, I do have a rather nice tan going onmyself - ahem, farmers tan, that is It has been many many many years, sun or no sun - I am a pale person, so often avoid sun in general, or used to, that is. These days the sun is one of my very very best friends. :) And, coconut oil is the only thing we use, lotion/sun lotion wise, that is. Have used olive/walnut/etc in a pinch, tho. ....my shorter thought - happy dance on your behalf, for sure ivig?? not sure what that is, offhand anyway, tho I do know it comes up fairly often here...For us, " burning " involves overall healing...in hindsite, I do see evidence of " dumping " with her in her infant/baby/toddler years - not so much lately...and for her, I have near zero tolerance for processed foods...and have in place or rotate regular basic supps - zinc & B's (b6) are the ones linked to this " phenomenom. " A couple of my older kids are still not burning when they should've...big sigh - working on it, with plans for future " celebrating. Guest guest
No, I don't think you are crazy. There was a discussion about this recently. My oldest son and I are tanning this year for the first time in our lives. To treat the sunburn and help it heal faster, you can use applejuice and salt water: http://www.healthgazelle.org/burnbalm.shtml Michele http://www.healthgazelle.org http://www.kidslikemine.org > > Our daughter got her first sunburn on Sunday. Guest guest
My boy is five and this year too, is the only year he has had any tanning on his body (farmers tan round his neck)Been using vit D for a few months and this has definitely contributed. > > Our daughter got her first sunburn on Sunday.
