Guest guest
Hi all, I just wanted to let you all know that I too am back from Mexicali. I had my surgery April 19th. I was with the group of 5 that had our bands on the same day. I went alone but never felt alone at all. The women I went with were awesome! We had so much fun. It was like having a 3 day slumber party! We laughed, hung out and had alot of fun. Ernesto is such a sweetheart. Yolanda was funny and amazing. was so incredible and so sweet! I absolutely loved him. Dr Aceves was so kind and concerned. It was truly a life changing experience! After I got out of surgery and recovery I think I got up too quickly to walk and started puking. The mother's of the other gals were right by my side- one ran to get the nurse to give me meds to stop the vomiting and the other mom put a cold towel on my neck and forehead! They were so great! One of the gals was fluent in Spanish and that was helpful and fun because we got to talk to and get the know the nursing staff a little better. Don't get me wrong you will communicate just fine with them knowing little or no Spanish but it was nice to have someone fluent to get to know them all more on a personal level. Again it truly was an incredible, life changing experience. I am so glad that I did this for myself. Those of you yet to have surgery know that you have made the right decision! I took pictures and will try to get them on the board soon.
