Guest guest
What do you mean you blew it? This was a very small lapse if you ask me. I bet you COULD not have eaten another whole cookie without pb'ing...and I bet before the band..you could have eaten the whole box! It is okay to have a treat now and then...but it takes much less to satisfy with the band. After the fill, everyone is totally different on portions. I am almost ready for my 2nd fill, and I can not eat more than a cup of most foods without being absolutely stuffed. 1/2 c seems to be an average, comfortable portion for me. Don't beat yourself up...just jump back on the "band" wagon!BIG HUGS, AND GOD'S BLESSINGSDawnita MayLowpass, Oregon10/05/05 dob "Iraida" 209/165/135 5ft 3inches ***30 lbs to GOAL!!*** See Mylatest photos at: http://dawnita1961.myphotoalbum.com/

Guest guest
Keli, I am having the same problem.........I feel like I can pretty much eat what I want and sometimes DO!!!!!!!!!!!! I am told that any weight loss before your first fill is a bonus so I have 18 bonus points and trying to maintain. I can't get a fill until April 25th with will be 12 weeks after my banding. I really hate waiting that long but can't do anything about it. My goal is to make sure I keep this 18 lbs off and hopefully drop another few before April 25th. Guest guest
HI KELI! I was banded on 2/8/06 and I am going for my fill March 27. I too feel like I can eat and don't have restriction. You are not alone. Have faith that we will be " normal " after our fills. We are healing. We are learning. We are human. I used to eat a whole box of girl scout cookies " just so they'd be out of the house. " (yeah, like it was a 'good' thing) I do notice, as some on here have mentioned, that even after a can of soup I am " full " . Before it would have been a can of soup, a salad, and a sandwich! I was able to manage eating 2 chicken nuggets and then realized I was eating out of stress! My gosh what I have learned about emotional eating! It's not wasted time, it's time to learn. Luck to you! Guest guest
Keli, I have really beat myself up over how much I have cheated and decided to quit. I am in a position to have to wait until the end of April for a fill, I have my appetite back and eat things that I shouldn't and have really felt very bad about it. I have learned that even if I eat something that I shouldn't, that I can't eat very much of it and when I get a hankering for taboo foods I just have a bit and call it good. I am not gaining any weight, my clothes are continually feeling looser and I am watching the calendar, counting the days to be able to get my fill and get with the program of loosing. This period between surgery and your first fill is to get acquainted with the band and a feel for what it does and how your body reacts to it. Don't beat yourself up anymore............your doing great!!!!!!!!!! BeckyKeli <kjwright@...> wrote: When was you banded? Guest guest
I have to find a doctor within traveling range that will do fills on a patient that went to Mexico to have the band. I think it must be an EGO thing with these American doctors!!!!!!!!!! Surely they have heard about how knowledgeable and caring Dr. A is. To not want to do fills for us is so ludicrous. I'm going to research a couple more options today and see if I can get this done sooner. kjwright@... wrote: > I totally relate with everything you said.
