Guest guest
Hi . Congratulations. 60 days will be here before you know it. I'm so happy for you. Great decision. If you think you have enough chicken broth, buy more. Oh, and buy stock in it if you want to get rich. I swear I was getting more cans every two days. I recommend that you get chewable vitamins instead of liquid. I found this better for myself anyway. The liquid vitamin I couldn't take for the fist two weeks. Nothing to mix it with. And then I added it to my liquid protein drinks for phase 2, but after phase 2, nothing to mix it with again. I went to GNC, HiHealth and other healthfood stores to get what I needed. Not much choice on the liquid protein. Isopure and Injury. Google clear liquid protein drinks and a whole bunch of stuff should come up. I hated the clear liquid stuff myself. As far as the powedered protein, look for lower calories and higher protein. I bought some stuff before I educated myself on it. Still in the cabinet. I think it was 130 calories and 14 grams of protein. I found some with 120 calories and 25 grams protein. Much better. At GNC there is somethign called the gram slam. Higher in cals but 50 grams of protein in one drink. Can't beat that. Here are some of my favorite protein drink recipes. Chocolate with banana, caramel with almonds, and Vanilla with nutmeg, cinnamon and almonds. Taste like custard. I have it for dessert. Keep posting and keep reading. I found everything I needed to know right here. Welcome to the family. . DOB 9/25/06 241/225.5/145 > > ok, so I am 60 days from being banded, and I can hardly wait, I am soo > excited. I have been drinking 3-4 a day I like it better than the Isopure..just get it down and you are feeling full, and it keeps me from being weak. lots of chicken broth like you have herd.. jello, I also got alot of herb tea. to keep the liquid flowing the chamomile tea helps with pain it takes the edge off. Guest guest
Hi These are my two favorite recipes: I get the chocolate protein powder from Costco...138 cals. and 27g's of protein.....I mix that in the morning with hot strong decaf. coffee for a "mochachino". My other favorite is Vanilla powder mixed with diet V8 splash tropical flavor. I throw in some frozen blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, and 1/4 banana. THAT is my all time favorite....YUM! V8 has all kinds of flavors but only one diet one that I can find anyway. The other flavors are good but higher in calories.......80 versus 10. Good luck on your journey! Guest guest
I was banded October 31, so I am a week out tomorrow. I ordered 2 boxes of New Whey online in Blue Raspberry Swirl and Fruit Punch. I also tried the liquid Isopure (a case of 12 in assorted flavors). I also bought some different types of Protein mix samples on EBay. Unjury, Syntax Nectar and pro blend 55. Some of the latter are not clear and I will use them when I hit the second phase. I realy like the Syntax nectar flavors that I have tried. Isopure is so-so for me and it's good the New Whey is only about 3.5 fluid ounces because I couldn't drink a lot of it. I also bought some Grand Slams at GNC and tried them before I had surgery. I wasn't greatly impressed, but after two weeks of clear liquid it might taste marvelous. I can do anything for a few weeks...it is the life altering changes that take more time that I've always had trouble with. That is to say, before the band. With it I believe I have finally have it made! Good luck to you. lindelou Want to start your own business? Learn how on Small Business.
