Guest guest
oh my! what a gross picture that conjures up in my mind!!! lol You know Kelli, I don't think that would EVER be an option! However, I do feel a mighty close resemblence to a manatee and they swim naked all the time! My rolls are a little less inflated but Manatees and I have a true kinship! Have you ever seen one? We see them over here and I just feel that bond everytime I see one! lol JenniKelli <psichikel@...> wrote: I say go NAKED!!!! You lost it...now flaunt it girlfriend! Kelli Don't pick lemons. Guest guest
Kelli, If you wanna see a manatee just hit Seaworld when you are in San Diego. I love it there. It is good for a half day visit if you just look at the animals. BUt if you want to see the shows you will need the whole day. It is alot of fun!! Guest guest
Since I live on the Gulf Coast and sailing is a huge hobby for people around here, we have numerous local sail makers. I'm thinking of going to one of them and having a suit made!!! It just has to cover me from neck to ankle!! Hope you are finally warming up a little! We are in the upper 70s around here...no one is ever satisfied, though, because I'm ready for the 90s!!! take care, jenniPenny Manville <pmanvill@...> wrote: JenniI just had to show these swimsuits to MY husband since he has been on my case to get a new swimming suit(I go to our hot tub a lot and have worn it at motel swimming pools too and I still am wearing my suit from when I weighed 230 lbs.) He votes for the last one for me! I just got a new fill on Wednesday and IT IS TIGHT! I have not felt like this since I was first banded and was still swollen. OK maybe when I had my disastrous Mcs experience last October too! I am in hopes that I just swell up every time I get a fill or irritate my stoma. I am still not going to try anything solid until another couple days go by and if I am still really tight on next Wednesday I will probably go back for a slight unfill. Good luck on swimsuit selection!PennyDOB 9/26/05230/154/135 finally moving down!I think my Dr. is confused on amount of my fills but it doesn't matter since whatever works is what I want!Dr. Holloway says I have 1.5cc; I think it is 2.5cc>> Ok Girls (and some of you guys),> Here is my latest dilemma. I really had begun to feel pretty good about my progress this year. Hell, I've gone from a size 24 to a size 8-10 in one year. Who wouldn't feel good, right? Well, I had a real lesson in humility yesterday in the dressing room at our local department store. I tired on the dreaded bathing suit!!! So much for those positive feelings! Someone said, "But don't you feel better than you did before?" (I think Eileen actually said that on the phone yesterday!!) My response was that I'm not sure what looks better...to have skin that is filled out and puffed up in a bathing suit or skin that appears to be dragging behind you on the ground! My butt is now where the backs of my thighs used to be and it feels like my stomach is almost reaching my knee caps! So, I quickly threw my clothing back on and hung those bathing suits back on the closest rack to the fitting room, not even bothering to put them back where they belong. I decided that it> was time to devise a new style in bathing suits.> That led me to my perusing the internet today. So, this is what I found. > > > This is the newest style in the middle east. What do you think? Ditch the cap and I'd feel perfect! I'm thinking if they can wear it, by God, so can I! Wonder how long it will take to get it if I mail order it today??? OR....> My neighbor is a seamstress and I would imagine she could whip out one of these vintage styles with little to no problem. There may be more drag in the suit but at least my arms would get some sun as opposed to the Middle Eastern bathing suit. And, look how the ladies are all smiling! They are having fun, no doubt!> > And, last but not least, these vintage suits would certainly hide all the loose skin. Why no one would even notice the rolls of fat that have been displaced from my abs down to my ankles. Again, I could ditch the hat and simply let my hair (even though it is very short now) blow in the breeze, cooling off the rest of my body that would certainly be swealtering from the heat in these particular suits.> > So, I need you all to vote. Guest guest
Hey Jenni, I just got back from Mexical and saw your bathing suit posts. You are toooooo funny. Jenni you will look great in whatever you wear! When I saw you at the Bash you were thin and gorgeous. I always think a tan helps hide any imperfections Maybe hit the salon a few times. That is all you need!!!! You go buy a suit, you deserve it!!! Mexicali was beautiful. The temps were in the 80's and I hear by Saturday it will be 90 degrees. It was very hard leaving. I returned to a cold and rainy Seattle. Of course Dr Aceves and the whole staff treated everyone with soooo much compassion. It is always like visiting Family when I go see them. My daughter Amy's surgery went well and she is feeling great. Hey to the whole gang I met. There were Bandsters from Texas, Virginia, Chicago, Canada, etc. We are all so lucky to have found Dr Aceves. :0)

Guest guest
Hey Amy, Amy got that Horrible "Norwalk Virus" and threw up for 3 days non-stop. I didn't get her unfilled soon enough ( of course it was over a weekend) and she had a slippage. We had her unfilled for a while and still the slippage did not go back, so Dr Aceves fixed it. Dr Aceves saved her band! He was amazing. Amy is down to 148 lbs and doing great. I did learn one thing, if you get a bad stomach flu make sure you try everything to not throw up. This flu was exceptionally bad. I now have a prescription I can give her if ever she gets anything like this again. It was not the normal PB'ing kind of throwing up, but the dry heaves for 3 days. I hope no one ever gets it. She is doing great and Dr Aceves said this should never happen again. Less than 2% ever experience this. Amy and I are sooooo thankful to Dr Aceves and his whole staff. They catered to her every need and truly treated her better than Family. I can't explain the compassion we experienced. It brings tears to my eyes to think of what Dr A has done for us. I don't know how we can ever thank him. I have been racking my brain the last two days and I don't know if I can ever truly repay him for all his kindness. Those of you that have had surgery already know how wonderful he is. For those of you that have not had surgery yet, you will see for yourself. The care is amazing! Amy is now on the liquid stage again for a few weeks and then will be good as new. If is is ever exposed to a bad flu at school be careful. There are some great anti-nausea meds you can get. Amy turns 15 on Monday and she is so thankful to have the gift of her band for her B-day. Thanks to Dr Aceves, Mrs. Aceves, Dr Campos, , , Lucy, Yolanda, Nina, and the whole gang that helped us on this trip. God Bless you!!!!! Take Care! Guest guest
Hey Penny, Good to hear form you :0) Amy is doing great thanks to Dr Aceves. I am so glad we found him. She is down to about 148 lbs and thrilled. We will hopefully go see Dr A again the first week of April during her spring break. Are you going to Mexicali any time soon? It would be great to see you. Or, are you coming to WA to visit your daughter. If you do, call me. I am so excited to read about your great progress. Congratulations! Take Care, Penny Manville <pmanvill@...> wrote: Hi I'm so sorry Amy had to go through that! Wow! I'll bet she is looking really "HOT"!
