Guest guest
Hi tone, I know several years ago I was admitted to the ER with severe lower abdomen pain. The dr was positive it was a bladder infection (like I can't tell the difference) or perhaps apendecitis and sent me to have an ultrasound done. Because of the pain they used a cathader to put liquid bladder and keep it there for the sonogram. Perhaps you could request this to help. I have to tell you it wasn't fun and probably isn't very good for the body. The other idea is have you tried keigels? Sorry for the spelling, I'm a bit sleep deprived. Guest guest
Tone,I've had bladder issues my whole life as a result of my disability. Have you gone to your doctor and been checked for a urinary tract infection? Bladder pressure is often the first sign of a UTI for me. Do you have problems with stress incontinence (voiding upon laughing, coughing, sneezing, etc.?) If that's the case, I would suggest getting some Sudafed and taking 60mg 3x/day. That is what my doctor has me doing. It's not exactly natural, but it's what I've found that works. I've been where you are with the water issue. I've solved it by adding a drop or two of various essential oils into the water; mainly lemon and orange, but also peppermint at times. I've found that the oils give the water some flavor and it seems to " go down " easier. TraceyOn 3/2/06, Tone <tone102@...> wrote: Hello everyone, I pray you are all well and your day is a good one. I have constant bladder pressure. Constant meaning every single second of every single day. Standing it is not so bad, sitting it is terrible and lying down is just a nightmare which is probably why I am so reluctant to go to sleep at night. I am literally going in the bathroom every 10-15 minutes around the clock. At night, I lie down and get up a minute later, another minute and another and so forth and end up staying up until a couple of sedatives kick in and I can fall asleep. Even in my sleep I can feel the pressure throughout and sleep no more then 3 hours. It is to the point that even going to the supermarket is a nightmare because of the urgency. It is not so much that I am even voiding but the constant feeling that I have to go is there and it is maddening. Can you recommend what I could possibly do? I know getting some water in me would help but right now I totally lost all taste for it and am down to a glass a week. I know bad but it truly makes me nauseas as does many things these days. This has been an issue for over a decade but has gotten so much worse. I did have one attempt at a pelvic ultrasound but could not hold all that water and have refused to even try that again. Maybe someone suffers from something similar that could offer some advice? I really would appreciate it It is making me cranky! lol imagine that? wishing all a wonderful evening And thankyou! tone Pa says " When the Men in white coats come, don't think it's Good Humor " -- Tracey White (tracey.white@...)Life Partner to PiskurCo-parent/co-trainer to Buddy the Wonder Puppy, Physical Assistance/Psychiatric Service-Dog-In-Training; and Pitter (AKA: Issue Kitty)
Guest guest
Hi Tracey, I have had numerous UTI's. But remember this is more then a decade long thing so this is one very long UTI LOL I will try the sudafed if it will help. Anything to ease this discomfort at this point is so worth it. And yes I have the incontinence at times but not all the time. It is more the pressure of having to go then actually going. I have had really bad ulcers since I was 14 and they are in active period now so maybe that is why I am rejecting the water thing. I was adding lemon and cayenne but am finding that just about everything is making me sick to my stomach these days along with it hurting. I think I can handle my stomach more though. I have a very high pain tolerance. Just a lousy discomfort tolerance Thanks a bunch Tracey Have a great night tone Tone,I've had bladder issues my whole life as a result of my disability. Guest guest
Tone - I found that as long as my colon is clear, I don't have the pressure. When I eat bread or cheese or cooked food I get it back. My colon is falling. Or it was. I was raised on white bread and mac & cheese. Constipated all the time and it has plagued me into adulthood. But as long as I stay regular the feeling is abated. Shari
Guest guest
Tone,I have found Lavender Essential Oil to be a good gentle way of cleansing the colon. Put two drops on each wrist pulse point every morning. By doing this, I have largely been able to eliminate the need for enemas, which I used to need on a weekly basis. I'm not 100% sure it will work for everyone, as I don't think colon cleansing/constipation is one of Lavender's usual benefits, but it has worked for me. I have not been taking care of myself and more so with unhealthy eating so maybe it is time for me to do a good cleanse. I won't go the enema route but I am sure a good colon cleansing would do wonders. I sure am willing to try Thanks so much Have a wonderful night tone-- Tracey White (tracey.white@...)Life Partner to PiskurCo-parent/co-trainer to Buddy the Wonder Puppy, Physical Assistance/Psychiatric Service-Dog-In-Training; and Pitter (AKA: Issue Kitty)
Guest guest
RE:constant bladder pressure Hi there =0) I have 2 issues that haven't been mentioned, one is probably unknown. My first thought is that like me, you may have a tilted uterus. Mine put's pressure on my bladder. Also, this is kind of scary...but I recently had surgery and a d & c done for high grade precancerous dysplasia, which came back okay =0), Anyway, I've noticed a big difference at night! I used to joke and say I had prostate troubles lol, I was up as often as my Dad! 3 and up to 6 times a night. I don't wake up at night except occassionally once in a great while now. You really do need this attended to! You aren't on any water pills are you? All this " peeing " is flushing away your electrolites and that can kill yah! Your potassium and magnesium suffer here. I hope you find releif soon, in all matters =0) Karly-- \ /\ ) ( ') ( / ) \(__)|
Guest guest
Hi Karly, No water pills. I'll get it checked out one of these days. Usually me seeing a doctor is when 911 is called and I have no choice lol And I am not 'peeing' all that much just going in there as if I had to. I wouldn't mind if I was going. It is the constant urge that is making me nuts. Thankyou for sharing and for the advice Be well and have a wonderful night tone RE:constant bladder pressure Hi there =0) I have 2 issues that haven't been mentioned, one is probably unknown. Guest guest
I thought about gravel root and decided to do a search... came across this which might help.... http://www.teetercreekherbs.com/ask/ask414.html Also, Toni, (I know you don't want to hear this).. but you need to change your diet and think about fasting/cleansing... and drink more lemon water. or flavor your water with another citrus fruit... You will go more as you drink more but you need to flush out your system and start eating more veggies. And then if needed see a dr to find out exactly what is going on so you can better treat it.
