Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the world of being banded! Yea, it seems the foods we need to avoid are the ones that go down the best. Just try to stick to the program, however if you are chocolate lover like me Walmart has a great protein bar and ooooh it's so good. It's called Pure Protein, has 20g of protein no sugar and the chocolate is good, I think it's just like eating a candy bar. I get filled on one bar for at least 2hrs, so give it a try. Perhaps that will help with the chocolate hunger, I know it's worked for me. I also try Cool Whip Lite...I know, I bet everyone is rolling their eyes because of my CWL but I am telling you, it's been my lifesaver!!! Give it a try! I continue to lose the weight despite having a tablespoon or two throughout the day...mmmmmm. Anywho, best of luck to you and 52lbs lost!!!! Thats AWESOME!!!!! Doing the loser's dance...wooo hooo!!! Guest guest
We had so much food here after Christmas I sent it all to work with my husband. His co-workers must love me. I did the same after New Years. I ate what I wanted on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Years Eve and then sent all the food away b/c I am not strong enough to resist it yet. Congrats on your loss! I am so jealous of everyone going down sizes. I have lost 40 lbs. and have not gone down any sizes yet. I am still in sz. 26 pants and 30/32 top although I did just go buy a few new shirts that were 26/28 but most were still a little tight on me. Looking at your sizes and weight we look like we are pretty close. I cant wait to say I am under 300 lbs! I bet you are feeling great! Yes, please do post some pic's. I posted some side by sides last week and I am starting to see a difference. I have lost 18 inches too! I need to start doing some arm exercises b/c they have only lost 1.5 inches and are still huge. Any good tips? DOB 11/10/2006 357/317/180 > > Hi everyone. I hope you all had a great holiday season. Guest guest
Hi Nicki and Kelli!!! :-) You guys both look so great, I saw your newest pics on the site. I can really notice a difference in your side by sides Nicki! especially from the side view! I totally know how you feel about the not going down sizes very fast. I am going down on the bottom faster that the top. I am your classic " apple " style body. wich means I always loose faster in my legs and butt than my chest and belly. so I have only gone down a size in my tops and like tons of sizes in my pants. wierd huh!!!! You know it is kind of nice to see other people that are in the above 300 club! :-) because it seems to me that alot of the people that get banded are more around the 240 and below marks. I was totally discouraged one day and I was thinking to myself " maybe I should have had the bypass instead of the band, because you loose so much faster with the bypass " ?! But that moment of doubting past by and I know I did the right thing getting the band. But it just seems that the weight loss is way slower because you are still absorbing all the cals and stuff. but the upside is that you are still get your nutrients too. how long ago where you banded Nicki? I have been sort of out of the loop lately and it seems we have tons of newly banded people and tons getting it done too! It is so hard to keep up with everyone that is new. :-) take care, hugs, > > > > Hi everyone. I hope you all had a great holiday season. Guest guest
Hey and Nicki, Just you wait, those sizes will start to drop, just watch out for your pocketbook. I went alittle too crazy and now I have clothes that are too big for me and I only bought the darn things about 2mths ago! I asked for Xmas for gift certs at Fashion Bug...I love that place!! I haven't used them yet, cause I want to wait and lose another 20lbs before buying a " FEW " clothes that fit...although, okay...that's a fib right there!!! Geesh, I did go out and buy a new pair of jeans the other day...but only 1 pair!!! I wrote about me finally fitting into Levi's, so I went to Walmart bought their brand Faded Glory...they fit great and look like Levi's but like 1/2 price. Anywho, I wear the guys jeans cause I have no hip and no butt...so I am straight just like a guy, the cruelty of genetics!!! My sister is the same way!! Anywho, I wear a size 34, which is probably around a size 16 in womens...I'm not sure though??? Maybe someone can do the converting of men's sizes to womens??? LOL So, I am staying away from Fashion Bug and I am doing my best to stay away from the clothing part in Walmart...from a woman who HATED/DETESTED/LOATHED shopping for clothes, now I am a clothes hog!!! Anywho, start checking with friends that are smaller in size see if they have clothes they want to donate...because you won't be in them for too long. I have a friend who gave me 3 pairs of jeans, and my sister gave me like 5 tops...so that has helped. Good Luck! Kelli > > > > > > Hi everyone. I hope you all had a great holiday season. Guest guest
K, Kelli, how do you do it? You seem to be a pretty fast looser! what are some of your secrets and tips to success? do you have a blog or joural that I can read of yours? I am always looking for little ways to keep my weight coming off. I have been such a slow looser. arghhhh! especially lately. This week I have been doing alot better. But I am still not loosing that fast. I know what you mean about being a " clothes hog " . I have always loved clothes! even at my biggest weight. But it is funny you talk about jeans, because I think that will be one of my faves too! because that is something you cant wear that greatly when you are heavier. I cant wait to get into jeans that arent stretch. these last jeans I got are stretch and they are so comfy! I love them, they look like " real jeans " but they totally flex with your bod! well girl you have a great weekend, you are so doing so awesome!!! hugs, > > > > > > > > Hi everyone.
