It cleanes the digestive tract and is also diurectic and anthelminitic. The decoction is useful as a mounthwash and treats bad breath. Method of use : 10 grams of Senna leaves are brewed in 0.5 litre boiling water for 30 minutes one cup a day as laxative and two cup a day as purgative and anthelminitic. The filtered solution can also be used as mouthwash to remove bad breath. While brewing Senna leaves tea, a spoonful of Cinnamon and Coriander seeds are to be added.
