Guest guest
I had a nurse that used to work with us tell me the reason all these kids are dying of measles is because the dr's around now have no idea what it looks like. They did'nt see it in school except maybe in a testbook. And so it is usualy misdiagnosed until they are REALLY sick and then they end up in the hospital or dying! Guest guest
Probably true, that and they expect that with all the vaccines that they won't see it. The only death my dad did see was in someone that was already imunocomprimised. Then again, my dad was one of the last doctors to make house calls, so if someone called after hours with a sick child he was there in the time it took to drive there. I guess that's part of being a small town doctor, he knew everyone outside of the office as well, and really cared. Heck, he would go out to a farm if they couldn't get a hold of a vet. to help with a sick animal. And because insurance wasn't what it is now, he usually got paid by the farmers in what ever they farmed. We got fresh eggs, meat, and my favorite..tons of corn on the cob!! Ahhhh, the good old days *grin* Laurie Hunter wrote: > I had a nurse that used to work with us tell me the reason all these kids > are dying of measles is because the dr's around now have no idea what it > looks like. Guest guest
ok if the measles vaccine causes autism and bowel problems can it be fixed. Do you go the homopathic route? I'm chelating because my son has metal poisoning is this the next step. Or is this the $10,000,0000 question?
Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Let me see if I have your point clear in my mind. Are you are saying basically " What came first? The dysfunctional immune system (that could allow damage from measles)? Or did the measles damage the immune system? " Of course in my mind, if measles was the real culprit (the only problem), then the rate of Autism would be much much higher. There has to be more than measles at play here. My vote is that measles is a result, but not the root cause. Measles seems to be taking advantage of an opportunity- namely a weak immune system. (Actually in the same manner as HHV-6 does.) Is this what you are saying? JOSKAT95@... wrote: > And why don't all children who have been vaccinated have the same findings? > Is it because the children who do have the findings are different? And a vaccine doesn't protect - the child is sensitized with a vaccine. If she does have measles and your child comes down with measles, what I would do is see a homeopaths. Allopaths have little they can do for measles. But homeopaths have been assisting people for 200 years. There are MANY things that cause a rash and measles is only one? Was she bloodtested? Guest guest
June, sorry you are having such a difficult time. I don't know about the measles, mine started after a really bad fall. I lost a lot of hair when I first took arava, then it started to grow back, I quit taking arava (had a bit of a rebellion) and when I started on it again my hair fell out all over again. I too got sick Saturday morning, may phone the doc. Why does all this happen on holiday weekends. I hope you feel better soon. Cheri

Guest guest
Hi . I don't know a specific answer for your situation - actually has not had his MMR vax yet (we were going to wait until closer to 18 months and then he got sick so now with his meds all vaxes are on hold...). Both our ped and our ped rheum said that we'll just have to ride out anything and hope that the herd immunity provides him some protection. The only time they said they might think about pulling him out of daycare was in the event of a significant outbreak of something big. But the chances are he'd already have been exposed before the outward manifestations in others were realized. While your son is immunosupressed right now, hopefully his MMR shot has provided him some protection. Even kiddos who aren't immunosupressed can still get things like measles after having had the vax (it's not 100% effective) but in many, many cases they don't. Hopefully your son falls in to this latter category. But also wanted to give you some hugs and I hope that Jordan stays clear of the bugs. Sharon (, 17 months, systemic) > > Jordon has been vaccinated for the measles but is on MTX, Orencia, Celebrex & about 12 other medication’s, there is an outbreak of Measles in Schools here, and since he is immune suppressed from the medication’s and all his medical issues I am worried about him, even though he has been vaccinated can he still get it? Being that he is Immune suppressed? Along with the JRA he has Type 1 Diabetes, Epilepsy, Von Willebrand’s Disease, SPD... > > > M. > > > >
