Guest guest
Hi =0) From what I understand, and have had done, are implants, and that is the only way, when a tooth it to far gone to save. I have even had gum surgery to provide enough gum for one. I recommend them highly if you want to virtually permanently keep your teeth. They'll make a mold of your tooth or tooth area to get a nice 'tooth' and then it'll be sent off to be made into porcelain, or whatever you choose and can afford lol. My brother has had a temporary last him for over 10 years! Good luck in your venture! Maybe check out some websites or forums? Just type " teeth+implants " into google =0)Hope this helps you =0)Karly On 5/19/06, carolG <cgiambri@...> wrote: Dentist wants to do root canals. Heck Carol, if you can afford implants and have enough bone to support them, I'd go that route. Gloria

You need to follow your own heart in this matter. However, from my experience and various sources, root canals are a joke, a waste of money and a con. From my point of view, implants are an invasive procedure that does more harm to the body than the cosmetics of said procedure will make up for. They are also very expensive. But it is your choice. We all have rotting teeth and oral problems due to modern day contrivances in food and lifestyles. What you choose is a purely personal choice and one you need to make but not lightly. I wish you well on whatever you choose. Your health depends on it much more than your looks do. My opinions only Carol. Don
