Kelli,

I agree with conservative fills but this is definitely too

conservative. I am sorry you had such a bad experience.

Most doctors/nurses who do fills work with the patient to try and

find a good level of restriction without overdoing it. I have not

heard of this small fills for a long time, before I used to hear it

a lot, .5 usually fro a first fill.

When you call to tell them how you feel ask if they have a " normal

amount " for a second fill or if they work with you so you get some

restriction.

I can imagine you do not want to go back there for 155 dlls they may

be your best choice. Call and find out when you can get another

appointment. I can imagine you are frustrated but the important

thing is to get you restricted so you continue to lose weight.

Kansas from Oklahoma. This is a fill center listed on Fills Center

before and I refused. Then the day of the fill they called me( after

I already was half way there) and said the lady who does the fills

had a heart attack and would not be able to fill me. I was furious

because I knew they were lying based on the all the previous

attempts to cancel. Had I known it was just they really didn't want

to do it rather than an overbooking, which is why they " wanted me to

Oh My God Keli, That is really horrible. I feel like crying for you. I havent even been banded yet but I know that going to our first fill appt shouldnt be such a horrible experience. But your right, having nothing to compare it too is hard for you. And then to tell you the lady had a heart attack? You know what... You just don't say things like that because I think that when people say bad things they end up coming back to haunt them. I hope you can get a proper fill soon. I am so sorry you had a bad experience! Where are you in Kansas? I

live in Derby, just outside of Wichita. There is a Fill Centers rep

here and I talked to her. She works out of a Podiatry clinic. From

what you said I am glad that I decided to not use them. I did find

some places in Kansas that will do fills on patients from Mexico

though. There is an office in Wichita that is accociated with a Lap-

band clinic in Kansas City. They charge $200 for the first visit

and $150 thereafter. If you want Fluoro add $100. The other is

Tallgrass in Topeka. They charge a straight $250 with Fluoro.

These are the only ones that I found that would even talk to me once

they found out I had surgery in Mexico and they were both very

nice. I am going for my first fill next month to Dr. Aceves because

I just want him to make sure I didn't mess anything up in the

healing phase. I will be there with a friend who is getting banded

too so I will be there in case the fill is too tight. That make me

feel so much better. For fills after the first one I will probably

go to one of the above centers. Good luck on finding a fill Dr.

Message or email me and maybe we can get together!

OOPS!! I read that wrong. You are in Oklahoma! I get it now. OK,

so does that mean you came to Wichita to get that fill? Makes me

wonder if that was the same woman I talked to. I am still curious

how close you are to me. Would still like to get together.

Hope this helps I would not go back to those people i would be afraid ----seems they don't know what there doing. Sorry you had such a bad first fill if you can find a good doctor it will get better. Yes the Podiatry clinic in Wichita is where I had this done. Do you have contact info for the other one you mentioned?

Hello, just for your information. My friend, Anjanette and I also live

in Oklahoma and had thought about going into Kansas for our 1st fill.

We changed our plans and decided to go to Grand Prairie, Texas. It's

just outside of Dallas. Dr. Dobson at (972-660-3188) does the fills at

the Dallas Ft Worth Institute of Body Sculpturing. It's $150 w/o or

$250 w/ the xray. We were both banded on 2/17/06. We could meet if

you wanted to get with us when we go. Regina

Keli, it is the " Weight Loss Surgical Center " The number you call for

an appt. is 913-541-0230. The number for the office in Wichita is 316-

554-8584. They have 4 offices but the one here would be closer to

you. If you call the Wichita office they will just send you to the

first number I gave. This is the place I plan on going to later as

well.

Good luck, Tammy
