I think you need to sit down and write a very long letter about your experience and send it to the people who run Fill USA. What she is doing should be against the law. If she doesn't know what she is doing then she shouldn't be doing fills. She can and I'm sure will really hurt someone with her negligence.

She removed the fill needle and sat me up. I asked how many ccs I had. She said 6cc's. I got so mad because I thought she meant .06 cc's . That wasn't anymore than I was supposed to have gotten the week previous. (.05 cc) She said no, you are misunderstanding. Last week I gave you 5.0 cc's and now you have 6.0 cc's. I was so confused. I told her that I have never heard of anyone having 6 cc's. She said well you do now and my band will hold 10 cc's. Upset and again disappointed I get in my car to go home and call Nina. Nina says there is no way I have 6 cc's because my size band will only hold 4??!! My husband thinks based on the needle marks and how much saline he seen go in I have 1 cc. Who knows??? Later when compared the needle marks from last week and Friday and the locations are almost two inches apart. I know she did not hit my port the first time I was there. She just injected saline into my body. I have a small fill now, little restriction, but better than before. Nina's statement to me ( I agree) let her practice on someone else. She has absolutely no idea what she is doing and should not be allowed to continue representing Fill Centers USA!!! My opinion and experience only!! Thanks for your time!! Oh my goodness, I'm just floored by your experiences. I hope you call again and

complain

and maybe they will give you your money back. Can she be reported to the AMA?

I truly hope you can find someone competent to do your fills from now on.

Hi Keli, What an absolute nightmare for you!! IMy DOB is the 28th so I am not sure yet how the fill works but when you said she said6cc's I knew right away somethings not right. from everyone else's info at the bottom of their e-mails it will say 1.2cc's; 1.5cc's etc. This woman is out there!! From the sounds of it unfortunantly you are her only patient she has ever done. And I dont think she has been trained to do this procedure. I am really sorry you have had such an awful time getting a fill. I hope it gets better for you. Tammy Irish

Keli, and others. This obviously incompetent doctor can be reported to AMA but they are less likely to get involved than other sources. I'd recommend the following: 1) the medical board of the state where she is licensed is obligated to investigate when they receive this type of complaint. They should be listed in the Government Pages section of your phone book, or call the state capital's area code and ask for the medical board of your state. Tell whoever you reach that you want to make a complaint about physician incompetence. They should direct you to the complaint division. This is serious stuff for a doctor. 2) if any of your fill, visit, flouro, etc. is covered under your insurance, you can contact the insurance company and complain. Most states heavily regulate insurance companies and require very strict actions to respond to such complaints. 3) #1 should not fail, but if it does, or if you want to cover all the bases, contact the attorney general of your state or district attorney in the doctor's area, and make an accusation of fraud. If she represents herself as a "fill doctor", bills for it even when she has failed, she may be committing a form of fraud. At any rate, that will attract attention. Fraud is one of the really big words that get investigations started! She should not be allowed to get away with it. Last, if the fill occurred in the hospital, you have other avenues open to you. It sounds like it was an office procedure, but if you were an outpatient at the hospital, let me know. One of my functions in my hospital is dealing with issues/complaints against doctors. I also worked as the person working with the state on complaints against doctors, at an insurance company. I'm happy to help! Phyllis

I agree completely - you NEED to report this woman not only to Fill

Centers USA but to the Better Business Bureau and the Dept. of Health.

Praise God she didn't hurt you - but what if she'd punctured the

tubing from your port to your band? You'd have to get it replaced at

your expense. She needs to be stopped and out of business.

Keli, don't let the waiver scare you off, esp if you have any complication due to her bungling. It's not really legally binding - and if in fact she is committing a criminal act (fraudulently representing herself as a practitioner she is not), the waiver is worth zip! Keli, is Fill Centers USA a free standing clinic/physican's office..

That means thay are not physically attached to a hospital. If they

are privately owned you could always report them to the BBB. Do you

know who the head guy is there. Maybe he/she is not aware of how

this particular MD practices. Maybe there have been other

complaints and yours may be just the one that they need to give her

the boot! Also, if they have a website there might be a corporate

number you could call to complain. Good luck. We need to stick
