What I want to say to all the Newbies

I don't know if all of you who are scheduled for surgery in a few days,

a few weeks, or a few months realize this or not, but, whenever you

tell those of us who are already banded when you are going, we all feel

a pang of jealousy!!! Or, at least I do!!! I would give anything in

this world to go back to see Dr. Aceves, , Yolanda, , and

Ernesto! These people are my heros!!! These people have allowed me to

change my life!!! YOu can't help but love em' dearly!! Am I right,

bandsters?

Really, to all of you scheduled, you are going to be in the greatest

hands. There was a painting in the hospital that I thought was

magnificent. Now, perhaps I should tell you that I am not an extremely

religious person before I tell you about this painting. I saw it just

before entering the operating room. It is a large picture of a surgeon

and, standing just beside the surgeon, is Jesus. Jesus has one hand

around the surgeon's shoulders and the other is guiding the hand the

surgeon is using to operate. It truly brought tears to my eyes. And,

I honestly believe that these people at Hospital Almater are a Godsend.

You will be in the best hands!
