Guest guest
I believe the same thing . It definitely has to do with the starting weight. And obviously the closer you get to your goal (ie: the less you have left to lose) the harder it will become. I just know I will be trying my hardest to get rid of my excess weight in the first 6 months, so that i will see great rewards with my exercise plan (the greatest ever really). That way I know the payoff will be worth it. I'd much rather lose at a 3X rate, and get more off, than to lose at a 1X rate, and have to wait longer for the same results. I am looking to lose 80-100lbs in 6 months if it is possible. I don't know what I really weigh, because my scale doesn't go that high. The last time I was on a scale was (you won't believe this) at Myrtle Beach's Pavilion (it's an amusement park). I did the " guess your age, birthday, or weight " thing to win my daughter a stuffed animal. I embarrassed myself, but I am used to it by now. I figured " what the hey " and told the guy to guess my weight. I figured he couldn't because I am so tall and I don't look as heavy as I am, but BOY, he was REAL close. I almost publicly embarrassed myself for nothing! I think he had to be within 3 lbs....and he was only off by 5lbs. He was GOOD. Anyway, the scale there was registered for 800-900 lbs I think, and my weight was 343 or 342 on it. So, I am up there quite a bit. I did get the stuffed animal though...it was a NEMO clownfish. That was back in early June 2005. I am a little nervous to see what I weigh-in at in Mexicali. I am guessing the same, because I know I gained more after that time, and have lost a little (I think) the last 2 weeks before surgery. So I will be just as surprised as the Dr is...LOL. What is really funny to me, is the weight statisticals say I should weigh between 155-170. The last weight I remember being is 190 in middle school. I don't think I have been 155-170 since I was 10-12 years old.. LOL. We'll see. If I have to go by that chart, I will only go for the 170. I would be bones at 155. At 190 in middle school, I was wearing bikinis, and had no " fat rolls " . But that is just my opinion. I am 5'11 " according to the Florida doctors ht chart, but in Ohio last year I was 6'0 " on the doctors ht chart. I guess I am widening so much I am shrinking? LOL, not for much longer!!! > > Um, I have never heard this with banding. Where did you hear this? > With the > > bypass, I think they give you a window of 18 months.
