There's something to be said for being so specific! :)

It's been a few years since I looked at this one. You're allowed to eat anything you want, but only enough to satisfy the craving? Did I get that right? As well as the spiritual aspect of it, of course. Does your church run the complete program, or are you doing it on your own using the book?

And I hope you've been to their web site. I remember they had an active message board going there, as well as other info.

>I have been unemployed for over 5 months now

My condolences. What type of work do you do? I now things are horrible here in the NYC area whre I live, and no relief in sight. Even if congress does extend unemployment benefits to those still eligible, it won't help those who already ran out ages ago.

>I thank you all here for your support and encouragement.

I look forward to getting to know you, and all the other new members, as time goes on. We're now over 100 members - YEAH! Don't forget to check the Links, Files, and message archives on the web site: 100-plus/

Have you gotten any responses yet?

First Time

Hi This is my first time on a club. I just started body for life on

September 15 (a little over 2 weeks ago). I've lost 10 lbs, mostly

water weight I'm sure. If anybody has any suggestions or advice, I'd

love to hear it! Please email me at asiabird01@... I'm 22,

5'5'' and about 145lbs. The body fat calipers said I have 35% body

fat. Thanks! :)

Hello, and welcome, !

How many gallons of Kombucha did you drink ;-)

Jesting aside, it is very unlikely that the minute percentage

of alcohol in your Kombucha would cause your elevated feeling

of wellbeing. It's the Kombucha itself having a beneficial effect

on your whole body system, and through your taste buds on your mind

as well.

Keep enjoying your Kombucha, it's all-over-good-for You!

Margret:-)

Hi every one, my name is Shirley, 5' 6 1/2" and 265#'s. We have a two year old grandson, need I say more..

I have been reading all your postings for a month or so. I'm very excited as my husband and I will be flying

to San Diego. Thursday, Dr. Aceves is going to do by band and I can hardly weight. I'm very blessed, Jerry,

my husband, is real supportive of the banding. We have a friend who had her banding done a year ago Jan.

and she looks GREAT. She still has some pounds to get off but she feels and looks so much better.. I'm only

sorry that I didn't research the lap band surgery years ago. I'm not afraid to have the surgery..

I will try and keep you up dated on my progress and more then likely be asking for some advise after post off

from time to time.

Soon to be a loser,

Shirley

Good reasons, but I like to use all boiled water because I only have a

fridge filter (charcoal). I just let the steeped tea sit until cool,

then mix the sugar in and add to my batch. So far I haven't had any

problems doing it that way. I'll remember this for when I have better

water, though.

Brewing in two different containers at two different temps, or

remembering to put the green tea bag (haven't tried white) in a couple

minutes later after the water has cooled? That's too much work for me,

or else I'd forget. LOL I just throw them together and whatever comes

out has been fine. Now, if I were drinking a cup of tea, I might be

more picky, but making it into KT it all seems to come out alright in

the end. :-)

How right you are! Black tea can be brewn in very hot water..I mostly use green

in my ferment..it is a little fizzier, white i reserve for sipping..smile,
