Guest guest
Hi to all, Sorry it has taken me a few days to write, but the internet was acting up and I have been recouping from surgery. Well as you can tell my trip went perfect, Dr. Aceves and his wonderful staff saved my band , yes saved my band, this is a very tricky procedure, since the band is already locked together a doctor has to unlock it, cut the scar tissue, and replace the band into its original position. BUT THANKS TO DR. ACEVES and , and all the others they saved my band. The hospital was even more amazing then when I was there in June, they have a brand new facility the rooms, are very roomy with nice big couches and chairs in case you don't come alone your partner has a comfortable place to crash. Like I said before it is like going to a fancy spa, not a hospital. AND Again, for all the newbies waiting to have surgery I am five days out, I didn't have any shoulder pain from the gas, and I haven't had the runs, I have to pee alot but nothing other then that, so everyone is different, so what some experience others might not. I went back to work today and other then being weak from a lack of food I am doing great, I just don't know how to survive on this clear liquid phase for another 5 to 9 days, where do you get your energy from, I have been drinking 40 grams of protein aday should I bump it up. ONDERLAND, for those who aren't sure it is when your weight has finally broken 100, I weighed 196.5 this morning and that is 5 lbs in 5 days. If anyone has any questions feel free to email me. I had over 100 messages to read and haven't had time to read alot of them, so thanks to all who worried about me and prayed for me, it means alot. Take care. Guest guest
Tracie, First congrats! Welcome back. From all of my research I believe you should be closer to 70 grams of protein. I would check with Nina to be sure. Guest guest
Hey Tracie, I am happy to hear you are doing well and back on track. It's a fear everyone has in the back of their mind on the band, but it's always great to hear that it was saved and you'll be doing well again. Good luck with your recovery.
