There have been some almost as long as the bricks, or about 6 inches, though not so many this year, probably because of the drought. This one could actually pick the peanut up off the ground while it was chewing on it. But then, I've also seen the squirrels pick up a whole corn cob and run across the yard with it in their mouths.
