Guest guest
Hello! I was wondering if anyone experienced getting light headed when food isn't going down so well? I have on several occasiond when I have eaten something that hasn't agreed with me, dry or too big of a bite where I feel a sharp pain in my chest, feel light headed and can't take a deep breath. Is this normal? What has gotten me worried about this is the other night I was eating dinner, had the sharp pain, felt light headed but then I think I blacked out. I was feeling poorly, had my eyes closed trying to take deep breathes while listening to tv the next thing I know my eyes pop open, I had a strange tingle go through my whole body. When I rewound the dvd I would say I " lost " maybe 5-10 seconds. Should I tell my doctor about this? I am worried he won't give me my fill if I tell him. Any advice or thoughts would be much appreciated. Nadine DOB 3/24/07 362(346)/302/150 1 fill .5cc
Guest guest
I thought I would try reposting this since I didn't get a response the first time. I am very curious if I am the only one that this happens to. Thanks > > Hello! > I was wondering if anyone experienced getting light headed when food > isn't going down so well? Guest guest
Sorry Nadine I have never experienced this or heard of it, if you are blacking out for even 5-10 seconds I think you need to call Nina and talk to her about it, or your primary dr in the states. Guest guest
Hi Cyrena, Thank you so much for responding back. I did contact Nina and she has not heard of this happening either. Weird, huh. Congrats on your wonderful results....to be so close to goal, you have to be on top of the world. And remember you did work for this weight loss....you made the right decision to have the band, you don't overeat, or consistently eat around your band and you are active with your new business. Guest guest
Thanks Nadine, I hadn't looked at it from that perspective. I appreciate your thoughts!Have you had anymore episodes of the light headed stuff? Cyrena
Guest guest
Nadine, I have had some spells with a little dizziness and light headiness during eating. I also get short of breath. It seems to happen when I have a lot of restriction and have either eaten too fast or swallowed the one bite that throws me over the edge of full. I have to straighten up my posture, breath deeply and slowly, or it hurts, and sort of wait for it to pass. It does pass after a minute or so. I stop eating and just cool it for the night when it happens. It has been rare but seems to be always at dinner time. I have even had the splotchy eye sight when it occurs but have never blacked out. Guest guest
Hi Nadine, Hope the lightheadness has subsided. Did you have a watery mouth too? Do you think some food was stuck when this happened? I haven't had any dizzy spells except when Dr.A was doing a fill & took all the saline out..then when he put it back in I almost fainted..like a "rush" or something came over me when the band was full..wierd. Only happened when I was standing for the fill. My other fills/un-fills were lying down & I had no problems. Guest guest
Nadine, I do get lightheaded and shaky. When I do I check my blood sugar and it is low...70's. Once I eat something and my sugars go up a bit I am fine.nrhwork <nadine4@...> wrote: Hi Cyrena,Thank you so much for responding back.
