Just wanted to shout to the band world...I'm down 41 pounds as of today!!! This fill is perfect! Last week I lost 4 pounds, this week 3 pounds...I'm now 163! How cool is that? It's been years and years since I've seen the 160's now I'm sooooooo close to the 150's... I had another NSV this week...My 1st was last week with my son if you recall...This week my husband & I were in line at Wal-Mart when this lady (Kim) who I know comes up to us and is just praising how good I look...Why is it hard for me to believe? I know I'm smaller but I don't see what they are seeing...She kept saying, "Man, you've lost a lot of weight, you look really good". We were both secretaries for local churches so we'd meet and go to lunch together. She isn't small probably 170's at that time but I was always bigger than her at 204...Now I'm not!!!

She looks to be about 200 now...Since she moved I haven't spoken to her, so she knows nothing of my surgery...Sometimes it's nice not to have to explain it...Just go with the flow... I'm loving this...It gets better and better... Another NSV... I bought a pair of Lucky jeans the other day a size 10 from a local resale store...I just knew I couldn't fit them yet so I hung them in my closest without trying them on...When my husband came home I showed them to him and he said, "try them on", I said, "I'm sure I can't fit them yet" but he wanted me to see and while he stood watching I tried them on and they fit! YIKES! WAS I EVER HAPPY! But, they can stand to be a little looser, so I'll give them a few more pounds before I wear them...I was jusy happy

that they went on with out me having to lay down and suck in... I've decided to name my band it is now called: Hope - It's given me hope for the future! I hope everyone is doing great... Hugs... Rena Brown DOB: 9/26/06 204/163/135

Wow, Rena, you are doing so great. That second fill was majic for you. I'm

getting my second one on 2/24 with Dr. A. I sure hope is moves me off of

this plateau. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, anyway. You are really one

" hot mama " . Size 10, WOW, I haven't seen that since 1991! It should be

something this year, though.

Hi , How are you? I hope your 2nd fill works for you too, I'm sure it will...It is so much easier to lose and to feel good if you have the right fill...How much of a fill did you get the 1st time around? What size band do you have? *hot mama* who me? ;o) I'm finally beginning to feel hot...LOL...The rest of my weight that I need to lose is wrapped around my stomach ;o( I'll be glad to get rid of it...28 pounds to go to reach my goal...I am so hoping to reach my goal by May 4th...My son will be graduating from college and I want to look my best ever...That gives me 11 weeks...That is an average of 2-1/2 pounds a week for me to lose...I haven't seen him since December so he should be surprised when he does see me...He's forever calling and asking me how I'm doing...I still need to make you a tape of his sermon...I haven't forgot, I just haven't gotten with anyone to make it...But I will... Take care & I hope to hear that your fill is working... Hugs, Rena DOB: 9/26/06 204/163/135 <ldccox@...> wrote: Wow, Rena, you are doing so great. That second fill was majic for you. Hi, Rena. I just can't get over how easy this seems to be for you to lose

weight. I am stuck at 20# since about week 8. I battle and battle to lose

1 pound and it jumps right back on several days later. I had 1.4cc at my

first fill in November. My band will hold 4cc's. I can stil eat a normal

meal--not my former " normal " overeating meal--but a normal meal for a normal

person. I have experienced some pbing on occasion. It seems to run in

cycles. But for the most part, I can eat pretty normally--three times a

day, plus an evening snack. I wanted to get a fill in January but I just

could not fit it into my work schedule. I'm going on Feb 24th. and I keep

hearing that the 2nd one is generally the " sweet " one. I sure hope so. My

clothes are fitting nicely. My husband and I are walking--at least we both

were until I injured my knee about three weeks ago. I'm in a knee brace as

it is a bruised bone. I don't know how I did it, but it sure has hurt like

heck! Anyway, it is much better this week. My husband and I are both

going on a weight loss program he heard about that is chemically balanced

for vitamins and nutrients. He has diabetes and his sugar counts are too

high. Supposedly, if you do this diet, it gives the pancreas a total rest.

Basically, you buy their foods (pouches) for two meals and a snack each day,

then you eat a meat and green veggie for dinner. You can also snack on

green veggies during the day. We'll see. He really needs to do it so it is

just so much easier if we are eating the same things and same time. No kids

here to cook and care for so we'll see how it goes. I'll keep you posted.

I know you are so proud of your sons. I would love to hear his tape. You

are going to be one skinny, proud mama at graduation. You will dazzle

everyone at that graduation ceremony. New outfit and do hair do! Wooo

hOOOO!

Hi ,

Glad to hear that your knee is doing better.

The diet that you described sounds like the one my

sister is on. She had a rocky start and she felt

really awful for the first couple of weeks. They said

that it was her body getting rid of toxins. She did

loose a lot of weight on it, and is now into the next

phase of getting back to more normal eating. She is

already finding herself as not feeling satisfied and

wanting more. Example - Birthday party at work, and

there was a cake. She had a piece and of course loved

it. Well, she wanted more and said that she waited

till the very end and offered to clean up....well of

course she cleaned up the rest of the cake...(thank

goodness there was only 1 piece left) But she said

that she HAD to have it.

We have all been at this " place " before. We have lost

this weight and then a switch goes off, and we are out

of control. She looks awesome and feels really good

about herself. I am afraid that she is going to gain

it all back. Her husband went on it also (for a short

time)and did lose weight, but decided it was to

restrictive. He just wants to " do his own thing " .

They live in the Tampa area and I know that is where

you are from. I think that some of the doctors there

have decided to do a big push on this program. They

have seminars and weekly meetings. Sounds good if it

would work long term.

If you go on this let me know your thought's on it.

Yes, it is Matol. My husband discovered it and went to one of the dr.

attended workshops in . Because it is just the two of us, I decided

to follow it, as well. He is doing it strictly for his glucose levels. I'm

just along for the ride so I don't have to cook or worry about what to eat

when he is on such a strict plan. This is the first time he has been

amenable to following such a strict program. It is very strict and has

these tonics that taste awful, but supposedly they are rejuvenating. Lord

knows, I could sure use some rejevenation! LOL

THAT'S THE ONE!!!!!.....yeah..there were a couple of

tonics that my sister was drinking that looked awful.

She said that it got better, or she just go used to

taking it. She lost about 70 lbs and looks very good.

He does not look as good, looks very drawn and tired.

However that just may be him, he got a promotion and

has been working a lot of hours. They went on a cruise

and sailed out of Cape Canaveral on Thursday. I had

lunch with them before they boarded the ship.

I agree that getting rid of the toxins is a good

thing. But I am not ready to sign up for the

program...As I said before, she really felt " kaka " for

a couple of weeks before things got better.

Anyway let me know how you are doing with it. Good

Luck to both of you.

Hi , I have to say, it has been pretty easy for me so far...Knock on wood...I wish it was easy for everyone...I've yet to make myself exercise...I want to but it's been so cold here and rainy it's just easier not to do it...I would love to start jogging, I have the want to I just need to get up and do it...I can only imagine what I would have lost if I'd been exercising these past 4 months...I'm sure when you get another fill it will kick in...I too have a 4cc band and I believe I have 1.4c.c in my band (not 100% sure though)... I have pbing a few times...Very unpleasant...I've noticed these past few days my band seems to be tighter...It's been almost 3 weeks since my fill and I'm surprised my band is tighter now...My eating has been cut pretty good...I can't eat a thing before noon or I'll pbing or have chest pain...And when I do eat it's very small doses...I don't feel like I've got to much in my band

but I can sure tell I don't want anymore in it...I have to say it's been almost 5 months since my surgery and this week is the 1st time I cheated pretty bad...I ate 3 small pieces of cheesecake (it goes down over a 3 day period...I'll weigh Wednesday and see if I did any damage to my weight loss...I'm sure it won't be the last time I fall...But I'll try harder to stop at 1 piece... I am excited about Josh graduating...I have been trying to figure out a new hair style...I went online and tried on different styles...It's pretty neat...You take a picture of yourself with your hair pulled back and then upload the picture and try on the different styles, you can also add makeup...I always wondered what I'd look like blonde and now I know...It's not good...I'm a brunette all the way...I may add some highlights... Anywho, Good luck with the weight loss program you & your husband are doing...I hope it

helps him...I agree with you it's easier if both partners are in it together...I really wish Jim could get the lap band, but we can't afford it at the moment, not with 1 son graduating and another starting college in May...But I know when & if Jim gets the band I'll be able to help him accomplish his goals... Talk to you soon, take care and go get yourself another fill...It will kick in... Rena <ldccox@...> wrote: Hi, Rena. I just can't get over how easy this seems to be for you to lose weight. I am stuck at 20# since about week 8. I battle and battle to lose 1 pound and it jumps right back on several days later. I had 1.4cc at my first fill in November. My band will hold 4cc's. I can stil eat a normal meal--not my former "normal" overeating meal--but a normal meal for a normal person. I have experienced some pbing on occasion. It seems to run in cycles. But for the most part, I can eat pretty normally--three times a day, plus an evening snack. I wanted to get a fill in January but I just could not fit it into my work schedule. I'm going on Feb 24th. and I keep hearing that the 2nd one is generally the "sweet" one. I sure hope so. My clothes are fitting nicely. My husband and I are walking--at least we both were until I injured my knee about three weeks ago. I'm in a knee brace as it is a bruised bone. I don't know

how I did it, but it sure has hurt like heck! Anyway, it is much better this week. My husband and I are both going on a weight loss program he heard about that is chemically balanced for vitamins and nutrients. He has diabetes and his sugar counts are too high. Supposedly, if you do this diet, it gives the pancreas a total rest. Basically, you buy their foods (pouches) for two meals and a snack each day, then you eat a meat and green veggie for dinner. You can also snack on green veggies during the day. We'll see. He really needs to do it so it is just so much easier if we are eating the same things and same time. No kids here to cook and care for so we'll see how it goes. I'll keep you posted.I know you are so proud of your sons. I would love to hear his tape. You are going to be one skinny, proud mama at graduation. You will dazzle everyone at that graduation ceremony. New outfit and do hair do! Wooo hOOOO!

Hi, . I have finished Day#3 on this plan. It is working well with my

band. Day #2 was big time withdrawal with headaches, body aches and rather

yukky. Today was better, though. I think it was all the withdrawals from

sugar and carbs.

We have a new band buddy in Tampa. His name is Jeff and he moved here from

Houstoan. Are you game for driving over some Saturday or Sunday for lunch?

If Karol Levy or Dee are monitoring emails: Can you guys come and get

together, too?

I can also invite my neighbor down the street that recently had LB

surgery by another doc in MX.

If you can think of any others close by, be sure to let me know so that no

one is excluded.
