Hi All, I went to the doctor about my stomach pain, he wants to do a scope next Tuesday. As of today I haven't hurt anymore so I may or may not go thru with it...Depends on if it happens again... But the good news is I weighed in at 139 pounds!!!! Finally after 4 months of not losing...Not that I can complain about not losing I haven't been working the band...I'm happy at this size...A size 4...My sister bought me a pants suit for my upcoming birthday and the pants were a size 6, I was worried when she gave them to me, not knowing where she bought them some store brands are different but they fit and look good even if I say so...I went to the mall this morning and actually tried on a size 2...I couldn't believe they even went on me but they did and they even buttooned up but they were tighter than I like...So I'll stick with the 4's & 6's... I got to see Alli...She looks amazing!!! Way to go

Alli!!!! Keep it up girlfriend!!!!! Anywho, thanks for all the replys to my email about my stomach...The doc doesn't think it's my gall bladder...It may be nothing we'll see... Talk to you all later...Have a good evening... Rena DOB: 9/26/06 204/139/135 SO CLOSE....

Rena that is wonderful! I am glad to hear that you are not having any more pain. Just take care. I have lost a total of 36# so far (8# pre-surg and 28# post surgery) I am still not getting hungry and I am loosing 3 to 4 lbs a week. I not sure when I will need a fill, but as long as I am doing this and not getting hungry I will probably wait. I did have my first experience with PBing yesterday. I went home for lunch and I usually eat a chicken tender, but I decided I wanted to eat a hamburger patty. (no bread, just meat) and I got in a little bit of hurry cooking it and got it a little dry and then I guess I didn't chew it up very good. My band let me know real quick that I had screwed up!!!!!! A very valuable lesson learned! Anyway good to hear that you didn't have anything to serious. Talk to you soon. Rena:

What are your secrets? Tell me what you did to get where you are? I

am 4 weeks post op and very hungry and feel like I am gaining, not

loosing weight now that I am eating real food. Have not been back to

the scale since my initial loss on fluids. Once I get the fill, will

it be alot better? I am wondering a little what I did because I spent

all this money and hungrier now than I was before the band. I hear

this is normal?

Rena, I don't like to be negative you know but let me tell you a little about the progression of my gallbladder pain. It went on for months and months but very sporadically. And, at the early point, I would call it more of a discomfort than pain, just as you said about yours. Then, strangely enough, a pattern began to emerge and I would be fine until right before my period would start and then I would be miserable again throughout my cycle. Once the cycle was over, so was the discomfort/pain. Until the next month. Eventually, though, the time in between the discomfort (which was now feeling more like pain) became shorter and shorter and eventually it never did leave and that is finally when I found out what was happening. I guess I'm just saying that I think it would be better to go on with the scope because you don't want to get to the point where I was. I never will forget the

night before I got to Mexico to see Dr. Aceves, I thought I was gonna die! I have never been in so much pain in my life. If affected every part of my body. I couldn't breathe because it hurt to take a breath, my neck hurt to move it, my back hurt, my shoulder hurt....I think my toenails even hurt!!! lol I'm glad your pain has subsided but I would still get checked out just to be certain. Fantastic news about the weight loss! You have done great! Jenni Currierena brown <rena71857@...> wrote: Hi All, I went to the doctor about my stomach pain, he wants to do a scope next Tuesday. Thanks Jenni...If I can get off work without any problem then I will...I have really been taking off a lot here lately for my mom...I really will try hard to keep the appointment...If it is my gall bladder will they see it if it's in it's early stages? If anyone of you pray I'd appreciate you praying for my mom... In June my mom had breast surgery...Cancer, they removed her right breast...They did a xray of her lungs at that time and they were clear...Well in July (in just 1 month) they did another xray and found a 4 cm mass (about 2" they said)...They did a bioposy last week which came back negative...But, the doctor told us yesterday that he thinks it is cancer and that the bioposy is wrong...He wants to do surgery and take the mass out...They did warn us that the bioposy may come back negative even though it may be cancer...Why, I don't know...I know several of you are nurses and know more

than I do...And may understand it better...But anyway keep her in your prayers...She is only 62 years old and more like my sister than my mother...She is wonderful! Thanks ya'll... Hi , Yep, Pbing is no fun...You'll have more of that than you'll want in the future after your fill...Sorry to say but so true...I will say as for me I haven't Pbing in a long time...I think once you get to a good spot with the band and you can eat pretty much anything and still lose then you won't Pbing as much... So glad your still not getting hungry...And congratulations on the 36 #! Just think your close to the 40 # mark...The doctor asked me if I needed a fill and I said no, I like the spot I'm at... I met the other day...We all need to get together and swap band stories...We can learn a lot from each other...I want to get a support group going but really don't know where to start...Any suggestions? Well have a good day, I'll talk to you later. Rena vanessa bobo

We really do need to get a support group together. How is doing? From personal experience I would strongly urge you guys to form a group of some sort. In Phoenix we are pretty close and we take good care of one another. We get together, talk on the phone, help the newbies, etc. It's great. I adore the Phoenix bandsters, they are the best. We don't do anything formal, we just meet for lunch every month or so. We talk throughout the month, heck... it was that was sweet enough to go pick up a Bowflex that I bought. He has a truck, I don't. ;o) We go to Mexicali together as well. I just really enjoy my fellow banded folks and trust them completely. I have told them things I didn't tell my husband. They are very cool.

Bipley, I have a question for you! I am trying to get some info for a friend of mine that was banded a while back. She has never really felt as if she has had a fill but, has had 3 already.. Now she can eat anything at anytime that she wants but never fills full and is not eating like she is suppose to. You had written the the esophagus can streach if a person is not eating right. ( I think that is what you said) but if she starts eating right if this has happened will it go back to normal? Does she need to see the Dr for this? Thanks! She would need to get checked under fluoro to make sure she is not dilated (either pouch or esophagus). That really is the best way to tell. If she wants she could go on liquids for three weeks and see if that helps because if she is dilated tht is the treatment. Otherwise it sounds like she needs a fill.

Is she getting fills under fluoro? Is she ever feeling restriction? HAS she ever felt restriction? Does she have a 10cc band? If so, those can take longer to get to a sweet spot. Some docs don't want to fill those as quickly.

Hi ,

Yep, Pbing is no fun...You'll have more of that than you'll want in the future after your fill...Sorry to say but so true...I will say as for me I haven't Pbing in a long time...I think once you get to a good spot with the band and you can eat pretty much anything and still lose then you won't Pbing as much...

Hi All,

I went to the doctor about my stomach pain, he wants to do a scope next Tuesday.

Way to go Alli!!!! Keep it up girlfriend!!!!!

Anywho, thanks for all the replys to my email about my stomach...The doc doesn't think it's my gall bladder...It may be nothing we'll see...

Talk to you all later...Have a good evening...

Rena

She says she has the 4cc band and I think that she said that her Dr used Fluoro for the first 2 fills and then does not after that and she says that she has never felt tight. She also says that she has like 2.2cc in her band, that is the way I felt when I had my leak so I am wondering if maybe she have a leak cause of course I had no restriction but, I know they are so rare. I told her the best thing for her to do is either try another or go to a Dr who uses Fluoro. Shirley Bipley <Bipley@...> wrote:

She would need to get checked under fluoro to make sure she is not dilated (either pouch or esophagus). That really is the best way to tell. If she wants she could go on liquids for three weeks and see if that helps because if she is dilated tht is the treatment. Otherwise it sounds like she needs a fill. Is she getting fills under fluoro? Is she ever feeling restriction? HAS she ever felt restriction? Does she have a 10cc band? If so, those can take longer to get to a sweet spot. Some docs don't want to fill those as quickly. 252/164/150 Banded 12/06 On 8/16/07, Nadeem <jasonperry123 > wrote: Bipley, I have a question for you! Thanks! Shirley Bipley <Bipleygmail> wrote: From personal experience I would strongly urge you guys to form a group of some sort. 252/164/150 Banded 12/06 On 8/15/07, vanessa bobo <vjbobo2003 > wrote: We really do need to get a support group together. How is doing?
