Guest guest
HI, . I was with you for my first fill this weekend. I was on liquids until dinner this evening. I ate a normal meal and just had a yogurt snack. I fought a little hunger today but was able to eat normally tonight. Although I ate slowly, I do believe I ate less than in other meals. I felt full a little full sooner than in the past. Don't know if was really a full feeling or a little fear that I better not over do it. Let's give it some time. Some have said it can take two weeks to kick in. I enjoyed meeting everyone this weekend and will send some pics later. Guest guest
Hi . It was so great to finally meet you. Yes, everybody is telling me to just hold on, it will happen. The girls in the office said I didn't eat that much at all. I guess I just thought it was more than I should have. I am finding that it changes with each meal. This morning I am really restricted and had trouble getting a shake down. I just need to relax and get to know the quirks of my band. Talk to ya later. . > > HI, . Guest guest
I hear you. Today was more restricted than yesterday. I came home very hungry tonite, fixed my plate, sat down and ate about 8-9 bites and that was all she wrote. I bent over to get a plastic dish out of the cupboard to take the rest of the food to work for lunch. Got the worse pain in my chest. Burped and slimed a little. The end of dinner for sure! Cool beans! I've got some restriction. Whoo HOOOOOOO! C Tampa FL >From: " wendyelam81 " <welam@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: First Fill >Date: Tue, 14 Nov 2006 15:45:04 -0000 > >Hi . Guest guest
' I love it " ! I'm already having my Latino withdrawals! I was born in Mexico and I still have them, specially now that I just got back…..I cannot wait to go see them again. Smiles Rosy > > Well, I had my first fill yesterday. I'm pretty sure it all went great, I had 1.3cc's, and I'm back to being full after as cup of broth and chamomile tea! Yeah! I hear the funny gurgling noises in my tummy again, so I guess that's a good thing. I don't care, I'm back on track! > I called Nina today to ask her a question and she asked me how it went, and I told her I had to lay down, the Doctor found the port, put the needle in, and then I had to SIT UP! With the needle still inside me!! I'm a super wimp and don't like things like needles, blood, pus, infection ect (it's a good thing that we had to fast the day before the surgery because when Yolanda gave her speech about the possibility of your wound leaking liquefied fat I was gagging.). So Nina giggled at me today and said that's the way it's done. So it all went fine and I'm not too tight at all. I had mine without flouro, so next time I have a fill I will go to Mexico. Nina said the important fill is usually the second, that is when you reach your sweet spot, so I definitely want that one under flouro. Anyways, that will give me a chance to go to Mexico again! I'm already having my Latino withdrawals! > > ' >
Guest guest
Hi , I experienced the same thing after my first fill. I didn't really seem restricted at all. I went for a second fill and that did the trick in fact it may be to tight, but I am shedding 3 lbs a week so I will let it do it's magic. Phoenix Al.free2travelnow <free2travelnow@...> wrote: hello...I just got my first adjustment last thursday. It went justfine and didn't hurt at all....I was nervous for nothing. The NP thatI saw was going to give me 2cc but I already had .8cc in the port soshe gave me a total of 2.3cc. I really don't feel much restriction. She told me to only eat 2oz of food per meal. I feel like I could eatmore. Is that normal? I live 4 hours from the fill center so shedidn't want to give me more restriction. I wish she had. How soonshould I go back?thank you, Get the toolbar and be alerted to new email wherever you're surfing.

Guest guest
Hi Myra! I sure hope everything is okay with you and the bad story has nothing to do with your band. I went for a small fill on Friday and man was it hot in Mexico! I still can't wait to hear how you like your new restriction. Let me know once you've tried out a few meals! Guest guest
We can't really compare as I have a 'VG' band which I think must stand for Very Gigantic. I got 3.4cc's but my band will hold up to 9- 10cc's I think. Did you go to Mexicali for your fill? I did mine last Thursday & did clear liquids for 24 & then liquids for 24. Sunday & Monday I stayed on kind of liquids. Today I had my low carb shake & now I went to eat a salad with a couple of pieces of grilled chicken & I definatly had restriction. I ate the chicken but did not finish the salad as I had the feeling I better not or it might come back up. Steve > > > > I just got back from my first fill. Guest guest
Hi Setje I must make it clear to everyone who reads this that the band had NOTHING to do with the bad story or the fill. I had a small tin of tuna today and only ate around half of it, yes I had eaten enough to feel comfortable by then. will email you soon Hugs Myra > > > > > > Hi Steve, I went for my fill on Saturday, long bad story but wont go > > into detail. Guest guest
One thing for sure, it was HOT in Mexicali last week. My walk with my suitcase from the far end of AA parking to the border is something I will not try again in the summer. Maybe after a 100 more pounds off I will try it again but until then I will have Ernesto meet me there. Guest guest
I started out with a BMI of 37. Now with the weight I've lost my BMI is 32. I know I shouldn't do it, but I weigh myself everyday and when the needle just sits there, I get frustrated, but I keep on going. I have been STARVING for weeks now but forcing myself to keep my calories under 900 a day. I just knew I couldn't do that much longer (been there done that a million times.) I wanted that feeling back where the hunger didn't consume my every thought, like it was right after surgery. I had to wait for my fill until 6 weeks post op, so couldn't do it until now. So far, so good - no overwhelming hunger today after my fill. Hope it keeps up so I can keep up!Shahlaa gatwa <sh7laa@...> wrote: HI there. I guess you are low BMI?
