Guest guest
I have certainly had my share of foot and lower leg cramps.. I am sure there are a lot of reasons for them. Many years ago I was fortunate to go to a doctor in SF. who was an endocronologist. Dr J Max Rukes. He is no longer with us. He did research plus patients. He was a great believer in Potassium. My husband and I both took Potssium, and we both had foot cramps and muscles cramps in the legs. Mainly we lived sodiom free. I remember Dr. Rukes said that we would never need sodiom as it is in our food even in frozen food. He actually said to get rid of all table salt. Hew went as far as to say that athletes instead of sodiom pills needed Potassium . If I get those cramps today, I get a bottle of potassium capsuls and take 5 of them here and there and get rid of the cramps. The capsuls are always 100 mg it seems so that is a bit different than I have seen before from perscriptions. I also cut our sodiom. Cramps come usually in the night in bed, also I quit eating like say Doritos, or some other salty chip. After all these years I should know better, if I keep it up long enough it is always good for some cramps. Never believe that you can eat bananas and there will be your potassium. Dr Rukes told me that I would have to eat 20lbs of them. I have never been a pill taker. so I was looking for a wnatural way to get potassium, while at the same time I did not know much. I just looked up potassium under the Just use your own head and look it up on the inter net
Guest guest
Thanks Janet. Bananas are the only fruit that I cannot eat. Tracey
