Guest guest
Pam, I knew her surgery was tomorrow. I was going to send you a message later on today. You know I will be thinking of all of you and the surgeon. At this time tomorrow, it will be all done and won't that be great? Good luck and special wishes for all that you are hoping for. Guest guest
hi pam..im also wondering how my little one will do without her hearing aid! about drainage a nurse called me and told me somethings i should call and report after surgery and one thing was drainage..so maybe on the safe side, just call and see what they say.. Tabitha's surgery The doctor said Tabitha's surgery went well... they checked the implant during surgery and it was sending impuses to the brain... Tabitha laid around for the first day and half... now she is her old self. Took the bandage off this morning and there is some blood coming from her ear... I think I've read that a little drainage is OK... right? We don't have a hook up day yet but it can't get here soon enough. She has not asked for her hearing aids yet I'm dreading that a little as I'm not sure how she will take being able to use only one. Guest guest
Hi, Really happy to see that Tabitha's surgery went well and she's back to her old self again. I know you guys are excited about activation day. There's really quite a change in hearing going from HA to CI, but she'll adapt quickly. It's SUCH a improvement in hearing there's really no comparison. Hope things continue going well for you guys. :-) -Jeff Clarion 90K 12/03 > The doctor said Tabitha's surgery went well... they checked the > implant during surgery and it was sending impuses to the brain... > > Tabitha laid around for the first day and half... now she is her old > self. > > Took the bandage off this morning and there is some blood coming from > her ear... Guest guest
>Does Tabitha have tubes in her ears? Yes she does. >They said to watch/smell for odor and fresh red blood. I'll keep my eyes open thanks for letting me know. >Hope she's doing well. She is doing great... she keeps asking for her hearing aid but I've told her the doctor is making her a new one...
