Guest guest
Good morning, I found out yesterday that I am an excellent Ci candidate. I have several appointments, but I've decided to go for it since I will have nothing to use. I will probably be implanted with the neucleus 24. The audiologist I will be working with is a super nice guy. Larry
Guest guest
Oh Larry. This is wonderful news and congratulations are in order. I'm glad you like the audiologist too because you do have to feel as if you can work with the audiologist who is the person who is going to get you the best possible mapping. It's going to be exciting to hear the rest of this journey as it unfolds so keep us in the loop and get ready for a return to the hearing world. It will amaze you. Where is your CI Center and what is your surgeons name? Alice Good morning, I found out yesterday that I am an excellent Ci candidate. Guest guest
Hi , I am supposed to meet with Dr. Danner from Uams next week. Why would my audiologist want mme to meet with a speech pathologist? People have told me I have excellent speech. It doesn't bother me, just curious. I told the audiologist my desire is full cooperation. I will also keep a Ci journal. We might be able to compare notes. I plan to attend college after adjusting to my Ci. I've always wanted to go to college, but my hearing has always stood in the way. When I worked at Kolor Print, graveyard shift stood in the way since I had to sleep during the day. Well, here it is 20 minutes until two. I was hungry, so I fixed two beef potpies in the oven. What a ripoff!! They didn't contain vegetables, just beef, juice, and crust. Oh well, something to go in your tummy! I told , my sister, about being a successful Ci candidate and she said I made a very wise decision. My mother is glad to know this news too. I know I have the support of my family which will make the going much smoother! happy trails to you, but with no Bushes or sore Colins, Larry
Guest guest
Larry, Hopefully it won't be long. I was screened on June 22nd, sawthe surgeon June 23rd. Told to wear 1 heaing aid for a week before making the decision (so I would know how I will function for 1 month until hook-up and of course incase the CI doesn't work how I will function until the try the other ear). On June 29th I called to tell them I wanted the CI. They called back 2 days later and scheduled the surgery for July 13th. My CT July 6th and pick the device July 8th. Hopefully you will receive your miracle quickly too! As for me, I am just hoping mine will be the miracle so many have received Taryn bchief@... wrote:Good morning, I found out yesterday that I am an excellent Ci candidate.
