A doctor who watched the surgery told his wife if she feels uncomfortable

because of something she ate to lay down on her right side because the stomach

empties to the right now. I do that all the time when I feel uncomfortable.

It really helps. Just want to pass this wonderful tidbit of information on

to all my friends on the boards. It helps the stomach empty faster and then

you feel better. God Bless all.

Hugs,

Dr. Rutledge

Hi Sue,

I don't think an EGD will tell you what you want to

know. An upper GI might be better and even that can

be tricky. the docs don't know where we started. i had

an upper GI and it was really interesting to see the

tummy. Definitely smaller and shaped funny. (I had it

done because I had something stuck in the tummy.

Eventually moved on its own but it so uncomfortable

when this happens.) Good luck. I have essentially

stopped losing for the past 4 weeks. The other thing

is I was going to the gym about 3 times a week and

found I was absolutely exhausted so I have just been

walking my dog for exercise and I feel much better.

Keep up the good work.

Hi,

Just throwing my 2 cents in...I am also a slow loser (notice I said " am " ,

not " was " ). I'm over 3 yrs out and am still losing. I averaged about 6 lbs per

month for my first year.

Have faith, patience, and good habits (which I have none of any of those

things), and it will happen in due time.

Not at goal yet, but still losing...albeit slower than a snail, but

nonetheless!
