Guest guest
Hi I do have bilateral implants so maybe I can help you some. I can localize sound..when I am outwalking or working in my flowergarden the birds sing all around me,,not only on one side of my head.I can now find the tree that they are sitting in. When I listen to music on our stereo i am hearing it in true stereo..some notes jump out on my left side and some on my right..it is beautiful. I donot have to have the volume and sensitivity as high as when I wore only one ...this saves on battery life. I have a good ear on whichever side of my head someone speaks from.I can sit between two friends and understand both easily without turning to each one. Hearing in noise is much better as everything isn't heard through one implant..The things and people on my Left are heard with my L implant..those on my right are heard with my R implant. Hope this helps. Dora Weber dora_weber@... Bilateral N22-96 N24C-01 Cochlear Otosclerosis
