Guest guest Posted June 8, 2003 Report Share Posted June 8, 2003 this is a question for the bilateral out there i am seriously considering this i know i am a candidate ... no problem there the head of the CI clinic said she would submit the paper work to the insurance people if i wanted i don't even need to see the doctor first for 28 yrs i lived with zero auditory input if i was in NYC standing on a street corner and a fire truck went by i could feel this truck only when it passed by i had to be in the right position to pick up vibrations for 28 yrs i was ok with being deaf i had three babies adopted 3 more kids then fostered many more kids then i got my CI and my world changed it is so much fuller, deeper, wider more colorful than i could have ever imagine part of me feels greedy wanting another CI i feel so lucky to be able to hear today i am doing very well with my one CI i should be thankful and let it be part of me thinks it will allow for more comprehension maybe with 2 CI i could really teach young children instead of just subbing but ... my question i guess is just how much better or how different has another CI made your life what does wearing 2 CI do for you?
