Guest guest
Pam, By the way, the normal volume control od a TV does is NOT affected by the use of the audio outputs on the back of the set. At least on mine. In other words, the family can adjust the sound to THEIR satisfaction without affecting yours, and vice versa. Nice fringe benefit. The amplifier will have its own volume control and of course the control on the 3G so what you receive is totally independent from what the others will receive. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* Proofread carefully to see if you any words out. & Gimlet (Guide Dawggie) Portland, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rlclark77@... http://home.comcast.net/~rlclark77/

In most tower PCs the power supply is at the top/rear of the box. (check where the line cord goes in) i know when i am hearing this and T-coil buzz, there is a major difference, if you plug your processor to the tower with patch cord,, it will GIVE alot of t-buzz (my term),,, Same thing when I unplug it from tower,,, I don't hear it from monitor, yet still hear that t-buzz from tower, again, I strongly believe it is the makes. This only happens when my head is close to the tower. You really can tell the difference between regular buzz and t-buzz. According to http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/E/EMI.html, it quoted " computer devices are susceptible to EMI because electromagnetic fields are a byproduct of passing electricity through a wire. Data lines that have not been properly shielded are susceptible to data corruption by EMI. " That mean towers are susceptible as much as monitor. I grew up with those t-buzz, it been around for 20, 30 years or so, and can tell the difference. This only happens when the t-coil is on, not when it off. Guest guest
Lee, No. The tower does not have the high voltage inside it to produce interference. Flat panel monitors, and the ones on laptops also wont do it. The CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) requires very high voltage and color monitors and TVs may have anywhere from 20,000 to 35,000 volts. Also, walking by the breaker box will do it because all the wires are bundled closely together at that point, producing strong magnetic fields. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* " Time's fun when you're having flies. In most tower PCs the power supply is at the top/rear of the box. (check where the line cord goes in) However the screen produces the bulk of the EMI (Electro magnetic interference) comes from the CRT screens, as states. Your TV set does it as well, but most people don't sit within a few inches of the TV screen Another good source of EMI is flourescent lights. Implant date T -46 and counting... Guest guest
Lee, But the power supply is nowehre near putting out that amount of interference. I got down and put my head right next to the tower where the power supply is. You either get way close to it or its a cheap power supply. Put it on the floor. See if that helps. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* " My greatest fear in life is that no-one will remember me after I'm dead. Guest guest
Lee, Oh gotcha. I understand now. Just want to say, you will always get a buzz, but usually not. Its not a fault of the t coil, its the nature of its design so dont think its a defective 3G. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* It's always darkest before dawn. Guest guest
From what I know about the Tmic, Lot of people that have it prefer to wear it all the time and it does not seem to bother them. Snoopy
Guest guest
At my audi appointment last week, I had the chance to wear the Auria BTE with T-mic. The T-mic is positioned in such a way that it points directly into the ear canal. I couldn't feel it and didn't know it was there until my audi mentioned it to me.
