Hi ,

I would call the insurance directly after four weeks to see if they

received the paperwork. When I applied for my CI last year for the

first time. The insurance company told me they never received my

paperwork even though the CI Center sent it to them. It took me three

months to get my paperwork processed including resubmitting the

paperwork. At that time, they denied my request. The appeal also took

three months.

At least twice a week, . I would also ask them if they have a record of the

insurance company receiving the request. They could call the insurance to make

sure this was received and is in process. The insurance company can also tell

them where it is in the process.

Hi Sam,

That's a good idea. I think I'll call my insurance carriers next Monday. I

have Medicare (primary) and Medicaid (secondary). On second thought, I think

I'll contact them by e-mail instead. This way I have everything in writing

and can keep better track of what's going on instead of being tranferred

from one person to another by phone.
