Guest guest
I had my surgery on Monday and still have tongue numbness and loss of taste. Is this permanent? When does it go away? Thanks
Guest guest
I'm not sure if it goes away or you simply reach a new normal. In any case, things will adjust and likely over a few months. You may wish to try Thai Curry Chicken - the orangish creamy spicy sauce - that I was able to taste no matter what and it was wonderful! Guest guest
My son's tasting nerve was implicated in his right ear c-toma and some of it was removed during his surgery so his taste sensation on the right is dulled. He very quickly got use to it and doesn;t seem to notice it anymore. IN fact he said it was normal the other day, so he obviously perceived it as a new normal now. Ask your surgeon if the nerve was removed or if it might just be numbed for a while for some reason. On 28 July 2010 18:13,
