Guest guest
Okay, this is probably a stranger reply! Someone told me once that women, for the most part, lose weight from head to toe but GAIN weight from toe to head! I thought it just an old wives' tale BUT - I've lost about 70 pounds thus far and HAVE lost from head to toe! My face and neck are so much thinner, I've lost five bra sizes, my pants bag at the waist and fit in the hips! It's strange but this is what I've experienced! I have lost 39 pounds and my stomach does not look any smaller. I can tell a little in my legs and my butt but my stomach still pokes out like always. Anyone else have the same problem where it seems the stomach is not getting any smaller? I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance. 8/12/04 High Point, NC Dr. Walsh 275/236 True: You can't see the other side of the ocean. Guest guest
My stomache is definitely smaller now, but I think it was the last place I noticed losing--probably because it was proportionately the largest part of my body. I noticed first in my feet (fluid retention). I think I have lost the most proportionately in my thighs/hips/butt. When trying to fit in clothes, my stomache gives me the most trouble. Think I could go down a pant size if I were a couple inches smaller just in the stomache. We can't choose where the body decides to drop the weight. Toning and exercise can help with appearance though. Hang in there. One day you'll just notice your whole body looks a lot different. PS--My comment about never gaining it back was more in reference to our yo-yo dieting of the past and never really having a chance at success and was in the context of the original message that the person was worried she was losing slowly. I am well aware we can regain weight. Kelli in KC > Hello all I am really unsure how to say this without sounding really stupid. Here goes nothing. I had my surgery on Aug 12 this year.
