It is very normal. I am at the same place right now. It feels like a lot

more because we are used to eating so little, but now we are returning

to a semi normal diet. I munch all day now. It isn't like before but

since my stomach pouch is so tiny you can overdo it and feel bad. This

doesn't mean you are going to gain the weight back, its just an

adjustment period. So, smile and relax, you are doing great.

Eating a lot at 6 months

I don't know what has happened, but all of a sudden I'm ravenous.

I'm eating a lot more than I was, now grant it, it's still a lot less

than I used to. But, I'm worried that I'm eating too much. I get

pretty full and even feel uncomfortable sometimes. Sometimes I eat

when I'm not even hungry. I wasn't doing that at all before now,

since the surgery. Has anyone else gone through this? Thanks.

there is an old joke that says a guy goes to a Dr and says (holding

an arm up) hey doc....it HURTS when i do this.... the doc says " then

dont do that "

if you are eating so much it makes you uncomfortable....dont do

that! MGB is not a magic wand that will let you just eat like a

week post op forever and then stop you at a goal weight and then let

you eat wildly and never regain... (i am being dramatic i KNOW you

would not do that) the point is that MGB is a tool. we have to use

the fact that we are feeling full to tell us when to stop eating. if

we overeat to the point of discomfort we WILL stretch our pouch and

undermine our pouch AND ourselves! you paid dearly for this.... stop

eating when you are full. have you ever dumped? if you haven't you

will --if you dont stop pushing the food to the point of

overload..... once you dump you will NOT want to overdo it

again ...it is the sickest of sick feeling yuuuuuukkkk! your MGB

will do its magic only for a certain period of time then it is up to

you. if you are feeling discomfort and eating when you arent hungry,

yes, you are eating too much. take this time to rethink your

habits. develop new healthy eating patterns while your MGB is still

working. good luck and be well, my friend.....this is a WILD ride,

isnt it?? how much have you lost so far?

, the same thing happened to me too!. Still does sometimes, even most of

the time. Sometimes I feel like I never had the surgery. I don't eat like I

did before the surgery but I do eat like a normal person. It is scarry to think

you are the only one feeling this way but it does happen to some of us. I evny

the people that write that they can only eat a half of sandwich.. that is not

me. I do have to control my eating. I have to remember that this surgery is

not the answer to eat everything but to remember that this is a tool.

Here is a question to those who are a few yrs out or have lost 100 plus

pounds.

Since you weigh less do you eat less? If I eventually weigh 135lb will I

(want to) eat like I did at 200?

74 pounds in 6 mo....that is good lisa...it really is! anything

beyond 10 per month (avg) is excellent! just try to relax...i KNOW

you can already see a big difference. the next pounds will come off

slower so try not to get discouraged. use this knowledge to brace

yourself and strengthen your resolve to stick with good eating

habits. you will need to rely on what you know is good for your

body, especially as you get farther along this " path " exercise is

good hon..... keep at it... keep that intake moderate and avoid

those " mean " carbs like junk food... if you need a carb have some

corn or a potato or a cracker. Godspeed to yo, my friend

Hello friends!

I don't post often, but was encouraged to read this and had to add my two

cents. I'm right at 7 months and celebrating (as of last night) 100 pounds

of loss! Hooray! I do notice the ability to eat more now and I feel so

incredibly good! My husband says I feel good too!! (wink wink) Keep

hanging in there you guys. 100 gone feels great!
