Guest guest
'Fruit 2 O', which I buy at BJ's, is sweetened with Slpenda. AND it's clear, like water, which I really like. I sometimes spike it with electrolytes. Joanie 5/25/04 Drs. Guest guest
This is the first I've ever heard about not using aspartame. I use it every day - either equal or the pink stuff in my oatmeal. Two packets a day. No problems here that I know of. CLOS, is this correct, should I stop using it? Thanks. Guest guest
the pink and blue packets just arent good for anyone....it wont cause any immediate effect but there is research suggesting both are connected to some pretty ugly health issues from prolonged use. like anything else you may not see any side effect in a week or even a year, but as i get older i wonder when the years will catch up....i use them all.... pink blue yellow.... i do think i will try to cut back on pink and blue though... i REALLY like this new life! xoxoxo be well cathy s in va > This is the first I've ever heard about not using aspartame. Thanks.>> To the best of my knowledge, Equal (blue) is aspartame and Sweet'N'Low (pink) is saccharin. According to all of the endocrinologists and nephrologists that ever treated my was-husband (brittle diabetic of 34 years and post-renal transplant patient of 10+ yrs), Equal metabolises in our bodies just like sugar and is hard on the kidneys (gee...surprise). That does not mean saccharin is any healthier! I understand Splenda to be a molecular structure mirror image of sucrose and therefore our bodies do not recognise it at all. It has 0 carb effect. However, please seek confirmation of this information before making any dietary changes, as I am no medical professional. Regards, Patty H 8/25/03 Stsvl 5'4 " , 253/175/???
