2-Month Update!

To my fellow MGB's:

I am so excited I have to share this. I had my surgery in Statesville on

12/3/02. I weighed 242 on that date. I am 198 today. I never thought I'd see

anything below 200 lbs. It seemed so elusive until this morning.

I am feeling well, exercising 5 days/week--some days harder than others. I

still cannot tolerate any kind of meat, chicken or fish, so I am mainly on

Stage II of the eating plan, with an occasional salad.

This really does work!!!

WoW

You are doing fantastic! I had surgery on 12/2 and started at 225 and i am at

201 or 200. I do eat chicken and fish but I am a salad freak! I love them, of

course I do protein shakes and yogurt and soup! Good going, keep it up!

Hi Vicki,

Great job! It's a great feeling to see the scale go under 200.

Your story is such an inspiration to us all. Hopefully you will be able

to tolerate beef and chicken soon. If there is anything that I can do

for you, please give us a call. Congratulations on your success

You are doing so well. I had surgery the day after you, on 12/3. I have lost

44 lbs as of today, my 2-month anniversary.

I am feeling great and also love salads now. I still cannot tolerate any type

of meat (chicken, beef, ham, pork, fish, etc). Small amounts of cheese do okay

and cottage cheese is fine. No problem with the yogurt, other than I am so sick

of eating it. Cantalope is my all time favorite snack now. Also try to eat

1/2 banana a day for the potassium.

Still eat a lot of soup and occasionally mashed potatoes. Tried a devilled egg

last week and it stayed down.

Isn't it fun watching that scale. I try not to weigh myself every day because

those plateaus will kill you, but things seem to move steadily if I keep up the

exercise and Gatorade.

Enjoying life!
