Can you please help me, cause I really need help?

I need help. I want to be healthier, but I see two entirely different and conflicting sides to eating.

I read organic/natural websites, and healthy seems impossible to reach. One, I can't AFFORD to buy organic, it's too expensive, and two, I really find it overwhelming to even try to do better because of people like you who say "dump everything you know and dive in head first!"

THEN, on the other hand, I go to fitness websites, sites of people who have won fitness titles in contests for being "fit", and they say things like this page says:

http://www.bodybuildingforyou.com/protein/soy-protein-isolate.htm

I was just about to order some soy protein isolate, since they say it's the best stuff to use for protein, and then I find opposing info that says WRONG! The stuff will kill me or something (never actually says why it's bad, so far as I could tell, other than it has MSG in it, and the body doesn't process it well).

Look here, all I want to do is be able to blend something up in my blender for breakfast every morning that tastes OK, and is drinkable, and is filling, and balanced. I thought if I used two types of fruit, some fat free milk, 1/4 cup of oatmeal, and a scoop of soy protein isolate, I'd have the perfectly balanced breakfast smoothie. Then I find out I was STUPID DUMB AND IGNORANT and that I was stupid to even TRY to do better than 2 cups of coffee with a heaping spoonful of sugar each and a big gush of coffeemate french vanilla flavored creamer, a few little debbie snack cakes, and some sugarfree gum to wrap it all up as a "replacement" for the lack of tooth brushing afterwards. SEE? It's IMPOSSIBLE! I WANT to try, but the ORGANIC/NATURAL/HEALTHY way is too hard! And too condemning, and haughty, and I just want to cry, WHY OH WHY DO I EVEN TRY?!

So, tell me this, is making a smoothie with soy isolate in it worse than coffeemate creamer and little debbie snack cakes? Cause that's all I need to know... cause if it is, I'll just stick to the coffeemate and little debbies I guess, cause I'm sure no matter how I try to be "healthy" someone will tell me all about how bad the thing I just found out was healthy really is.

Do you see how stressful this is for me?

Please help me, or shoot me, or something, cause I really wanted to do better, and then I tried, and then it all fell apart before I even got started, and now I just don't even want to try anymore, I lost all my ... ummm.. ahh... I can't even remember the WORD for what I'm trying to say I lost now... :-(

focus? no. Umm, gung-ho? No, not that one. Umm... inspiration? no, not that, that's not it either... Ahh, you can see how lost I am now, right? I need a freekin thesaurus to even try to figure out what I'm thinking.

Oh, and if this isn't the right group for this type of discussion, can someone please tell me where to go? (other than to hell in an handbasket?)
