advice for friend with sick doggie

Hello All,

I pray this day finds you all well.

I was wondering if you could possibly offer some advice for a friend that has a very ill dog. The dog has been hospitalized a few times now. His kidneys are failing badly and he also has a heart murmer. He currently cannot eat and is on sub q fluids and oral phosphorous binder and meds as his phosphorous levels are very high. He asked me if I knew anything about the following as he was considering it (capsule) but astralagus was the only thing I recognized: Rehmannia, Alisma, Astragalus, Cyperus, Dioscorea, Morinda, Poria Cortex.

I told him to look into natural meds and maybe even make a good broth that the dog could drink but he said he wouldn't be able to get it down. Anyone, have any suggestions that I could pass on to him? It would be so very appreciated.
