I ordered all my herbs for my homemade Super Food and expect them to arrive tomorrow. They were out of the alfalfa powder so instead I ordered double the amount of the barley grass. Would it be ok to leave out the alfalfa and just use twice as much barley grass? Are they similar? And nope...no yeast in this batch ;-). Thanks.

I would use 1 part and just omit the alfafa...

Thanks Suzi. I think I'll do that...just use the normal amount of barley grass. When I get some extra money and can get some alfalfa shipped, I'll throw it in the remaining batch. From the summary you sent, barely grass juice powder seems to be some pretty good stuff!

I would use 1 part and just omit the alfafa... Here is the "scoop" on alfafa and barley. Alfalfa contains all the known vitamins and minerals for life. Some of these are in trace amounts, hence, Alfalfa is not "the perfect food" because it does not contain enough of these nutrients or carbohydrates in high enough amounts to sustain life by itself. Alfalfa neutralizes acids and poisons. Alfalfa has roots that extend deep into the soil where it reaches minerals which give it a high nutrient value. Alfalfa has a natural ability to stimulate and feed the Pituitary gland. Alfalfa is a rich source of vitamin B-12, important for vegetarians. Alfalfa is a high natural source of vitamin A. The high enzyme content of fresh or freeze-dried Alfalfa helps the body to balance its systems, enabling it to ward off infectious diseases and even helps to restore the body's immune system to defeat many

degenerative diseases, such as cancer and arthritis. Barley Grass promotes natural tissue repair and nourishes anti-aging mechanisms of the body. Barley Grass has been determined to be an anti-inflammatory agent, therefore, it will be found to be effective in the healing of stomach and duodonal ulcers. It will help chronically inflamed hemorrhoids and assists in reducing pancreatic infections. Barley Grass juice powder is a great cleanser and booster for the immune system. Barley Grass juice powder detoxifies cells and normalizes the metabolism. It assists in balancing the body chemistry. Barley Grass juice powder neutralizes heavy metals, such as lead and mercury. Barley Grass juice powder is a cholesterol reducer along with being a great blood purifier. http://www.daystarbotanicals.com/products/lfingredients.html for more info on
