Hello all, My name is , to most. I am from Jax

Fl. My daughter had the mgb Dec 2000 and I had mine March 12 2001.

I am down 69 pounds and am content with my loss. I hope to lose a

total of 210 as I started at 326 and I am 5'2 " . As an adult my

lowest was 120 but I was so hungry!

I was on the post op list for several months prior to surgery so I

remember many of you. When Dr R switched to the new one I was newly

recovering and didn't feel all that great so I didn't sign up until

just recently. It is nice to be back. My stomach was very sensitive

post surgery. I have had many episodes of nausea and vomiting. I

have learned what is best for my new stomach and we are getting along

well now. The only thing that disturbes me is what many have said.

I can drink a drink down very rapidly. It tends to make me worry that

I may have stretched my stomach but I really do realise that this is

not uncommen. I drink weaked juices, buttermilk, milk, and an

occasional weak ice tea. (yes I know about the tea). I can eat most

anything. I do not take serious the statement that we never have to

diet again. That would be an excuse to me to eat all the crap that

got me this way. Instead I indulge every once in a while and eat

health as a matter of course. In fact, I think I would rather drink

fluids than solids as they cause less problems.

Many of my health problems have improved even my fibromyalgia to a

small degree. I enjoy being able to do things that heretofore were

difficult or impossible. Simple things like reaching back to stratch

my back. People who weighed 300 or so will understand best I think.

Anyway I am happy with my loss and proud of my daughter and her

loss. My gorgeous daughter can be seen as Becky on the MGB

picture page. Mama will wait a little more before I post a pic!!

For those who are interested, I am 47 and married for 28 years. I

have 2 children in college. I am disabled due to back problems and a

chronic inflammatory condition. I was a licensed practical nurse

working in labor and delivery, post partum, newborn and neonatal

intensive care nursery as well as gyn nursing. I was blessed to

stay at home most of my childrens school years in fact I home

schooled them for their elementary years. During that time I also

helped found the Florida state assoc for homeschoolers etc, etc, etc.

By far the most rewarding job and most important thing I have ever

done was to be a servant of my Lord and Savior Jesus, a wife and

mother. Well, that's me in a nut shell. Blessings to you all and hi

to Romy and my littermates.
