Guest guest
Elisheva, My daughter Abbie broke her wrist this summer. It healed a bit more slowly than the other broken bones I have dealt with. Seemed to heal just fine though. However, this past week, she had swelling and pain in it. That joint hasn't been affected in almost 2 years, so I don't really know what to think. The rest of her finger and hand joints were fine. Guess we'll just have to see. Guest guest
Hi Suzi The doctor splinted it today took it off for shower and put back on. Need some plaster or tape so can keep it on. Trouble is I've always got hands in water and no time for gloves mostly. Would I need to splint 2 fingers together or just the broken one? I do have some lovely comfrey at the moment put on some last week but my mind was elsewhere. Tracey

Guest guest
If you go to the sporting department of most large stores they carry a tape for wrapping tennis racket handles. It is a treated gauze that will stick to itself but not anything else. Even with your hands in water all day it will stay on for 2 days if you wrap it right. Also in an animal feed store there is a product called CoFlex or Vet Wrap. It is similar, but it is elastic like an Ace bandage. It will also stay on for days and can make a temporary cast for a broken wrist or whatever if need be. It will hold your splint on for you. Guest guest
I can't say repeated broken bones, but I also broke two fingers in a fall. Not sure if they should have broke it wasn't that hard of fall. broken finger Has anyone had experience with repeated broken bones since PA diagnosis? Last week I broke another finger by hitting it on a kitchen chair while trying to pick up papers off the table. My potassium was 4.5 at last draw a few weeks back, but I'm terribly clumsy since starting Spiro. Anyway, that makes three broken fingers from similar silly things that should not have caused a broken bone.
