Guest guest
I am also getting in on this thread late - and I have 2 thoughts for you. Yes the kitties are a problem to find homes for but I do know that there are people out there who will take care of them. I live in extreme rural Utah and I have strays find their way to my back porch on a constant basis. They are mostly wild and I cannot get too near most of them. I still feed them and watch over them. I do not have any indoor pets for health reasons but I do really enjoy watching them through the windows. If in my situation and was closer to you I would take on a couple more cats - even the wild ones as I believe they lead a good life outside running free and playing in the yard. I know many people who for the same reasons would do the same. These cats are fed daily on my back porch but they also are very good about keeping the rodent population down in the barns so they do serve a purpose and for people like me who are too busy to care for indoor pets or are allergic this is a good situation for both the owners and the pets. So look around a solution can be found. As for the depression and the sadness and stress in your life I do completely understand. I have gone through very similar feelings and stresses myself in the last 2 years and I am still struggling. The things that get me through my days are as follows. The love and friendship and advice of this list. Meditation - if only like Doll says just sitting on the floor in a quiet place and staring at the wall and doing deep breathing. I have cut back my coffee and am drinking more teas - a good blend for me is Chamomile, Peppermint, Catnip with just a touch of Hops. I am eating more Raw with no sugar. Music has played a large part in my recovery whether it is listening to very soothing tones or Oldies Rock and roll that brings back good memories from a far better time in my life. and yes on really bad days a glass of red wine before bed can be a good stress reducer. If you ever want to just talk I am here for you or anyone else that just needs a shoulder Heaven knows just how many shoulders I have leaned against.
