Guest guest
Does anyone have any experience or care to comment about Dr. Shulze's Super Food? I take a tbsp. or 2 of it everyday in my carrot, apple and veggie juice. I personally think the stuff is great and I feel a difference in energy if I don't take it. Guest guest
I use the complete nutrition formula in the files. Most of the stuff I buy at the local health foodstore that has bulk herbs. Guest guest
It's been awhile... I did not purchase everything at once ... most came from www.herbalcom.com and at the time I was making "total nutrition" with nutritional yeast which I have since removed and revamped the formula to "complete nutrition".. and since I had most of the ingredients on hand I only had a few to get.. which would have come from either herbalcom or www.terraherbs.com most likely. The size depends on how much a "part" is... I use a cup and 1/2 cup when I make mine... Guest guest
The Super Food I drank gave me a bigger bowel movement within the hour than the Formula #1 did this morning. Guest guest
I posted an article on this last year..... check out the Complete Nutrition formula in the files... It does not contain yeast... In my opinion, depending on the person, THAT could be the culprit. It's hard to say. I know people who have done cleanses etc. and still feel listless on Super Food. Also, Sam Biser (love him or hate him!) talks about Super Food in his Save Your Life videos and says "it isn't necessarily a "super food" for everyone". His system just couldn't tolerate it. Guest guest
Suzi, Re: detox. I thought the same thing this afternoon, because all evening I have felt " off " if that makes any sense. All I felt like doing for 3-4 hours this afternoon was sleep, and I should have just went for a nap because I didn't get anything done in the office. Last night, I took 3 T. Super Food with 1 1/2 cups of fresh apple juice I made and chased it with a pint of bottled water. I noticed last night after taking the Super Food I was constantly thirsty. I usually drink a lot of water anyway (I have been averaging about 15 cups a day and usually more) I bet last night in 4-5 hours after drinking the Super Food I downed 6 or 7 pint bottles of water, on top of what I drank yesterday. Last night with dinner I also took one Formula #1. The Super Food I drank gave me a bigger bowel movement within the hour than the Formula #1 did this morning. (I am pretty regular and wonder if the Formula #1 is going to do anything. I'm fortunate that what is taken in usually ushers something out) This morning I worked out about 30 minutes on the Pilates machine and then made 3 cups of fresh apple juice, mixed it with water and 2 T. of the Super Food. I also started taking Schulze's Echinacea today and put that in the first couple of bottles of water I drank. I wasn't hungry all day but did eat a couple of Dr. Kracker's (sp) with an organic nut butter. I also took 6 Primrose Oil caps this afternoon (I have been taking them alternately with Fish Oil for some time). I thought maybe I felt so drug down because I didn't eat something until early evening - but I just didn't feel like eating. I have been eating fruits, juices and salads. I've been eating far too much chicken and fish, though. I've found that the more I eat fresh fruits and vegetables, the less any meat is appetizing to me. I just don't want it. I haven't eaten any beef for quite some time and my system knows it. I used some ground beef I had bought at Whole Foods and made a meatloaf for the family tonight. I ate a slice and within the hour I was in the bathroom with diarrhea. I've been in there twice, now, LOL. I don't know if it is my stomach rebelling against the beef or a detox effect from the Super Food and the Echinacea today, coupled with the beef. Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I certainly do need to detox. I'm still carrying around weight I put on while taking the Prednisone for the pneumonia bout from the winter. I knew I had been sick but it has honestly taken me up until the first of last month to feel like I had my strength back and get back into a regular work routine. I was sick enough that I don't want to be sick like that again and that was the catalyst I needed to make up my mind and get healthy, once and for all, and stay that way. I realized something like that can kill a person and I'm too young, LOL! Too many things left to do! I still don't think I have fully recovered from the different rounds of antibiotics I was on, to tell you the truth. The inhalers I was using to breathe didn't do my system much good, either. Over the past month I've added in the regular exercise and going more and more raw and vegan with my diet. I noticed when I went almost exclusively fruit and vegetable with my diet, for the last two week period, I had sinus drainage that had me sick for 4-5 days. I couldn't believe that much junk was coming out of my head. Where in the world does stuff like that come from? I've recovered from that and decided to try Dr. Schulze's Vitality program for a month and see if that won't clear up some things once and for all, and help me get rid of this weight. I've got to get my regular energy back, too. I'm better than I was a month ago, much, much better than I was three months ago, but I am still not up to par with what my schedule was like and what I was able to do this same time last year. I'll have to see how I do tomorrow. Thanks! At 09:52 PM 3/2/2006, you wrote: >, >How is your diet normally? Guest guest
I'll add carrots and whatever vegetables I can find to an apple or two tomorrow and see what happens. I have a Jack LaLanne juicer and I made a resolution to use it at least once a day. I have found I like making a couple of cups of juice in the morning for breakfast. I used to add carrots to whatever juice I was making for the day but I got out of the carrot habit about a month ago. I'll start adding the carrots back in. The couple of times I've added Super Food to my juice I just stirred it in, but after downing the grit in that was in the bottom of the glass today, maybe I should start mixing it in a blender with the juice, LOL! There is nothing alive about it. There is absolutely no useful nutrients in it either. This nutritional yeast that everyone talks about was also used to manufacture MSG, a known neurotoxin or excitotoxin. I wouldn't recommend eating nutritional yeast to anyone as it is nothing more than a by-product and a toxic dead one at that. But that is just my opinion. Sure a lot of people can use it for years and may never have any problems with it. Just another form of Russian Roulette. Why eat anything that is processed? Guest guest
A small book came with my Super Food order, and in it Dr. Schulze goes into quite a bit of detail about the yeast he uses. He claims it is heated to a point that it kills off the active yeast but saves the B vitamins. He also says all of the SF ingredients are organic and organically grown. I didn't take any Super Food on Friday as I had two appts. that afternoon with quite a bit of driving and couldn't afford to drag like I had the day before. I did use more in juice yesterday, and didn't notice the tiredness after use but then again, I was out and about, running errands. I am usually a night owl and it isn't unusual for me to be on the computer working up until 2 or 3 AM, or later. One thing I did notice and don't know if it is related to the Super Food use or not, but Thursday evening I was so tired I went to bed around 11:00-11:30, Friday night I did the same thing (even with no SF use that day) and last night I was in bed fairly early and went right to sleep (also unusual for me as my mind usually won't shut off simply because I go to bed) I'll see what happens today with more Super Food use. The only way one can save the vitamins is by not heating at all. Don
