Guest guest
Sorry it took me so long Carol... been kind of busy with a baby goat. Try using pancreatic enzymes with meals when they have symptoms of indigestion that cannot be attributed to a specific cause. In a double-blind study, micro-encapsulated pancreatic enzymes were shown to reduce gas, bloating, and fullness after a high-fat meal.carolG <cgiambri@...> wrote: It's been about a week and I am having the following issues: acid or some burning coming up into throat, making me cough. Other day I did have some tomato sauce, never had this feeling before and I had to purge and it was the sauce. I thought it was the vegan ice cream, but evualating the situation don't think so; I tried a store bought bread, that looked healthy, but wondering if it was the yeast or something that they use,. Today I had a different bread, didn't notice any problems immediately after it, but many hours later I am having that acid sort of coming up. I am not drinking enough water I know too. I took my green barley powdser drink just now. I am wondering if it is a digestive enzyme I am needing. Today, had bread, the vegan ice cream, avocado, apple with tiny bit of lemon chopped up in food processor.........no salad yet either...some water...some green powder just now.... I have had little gas also so thinking my body is acidic as it's not usually the case. I have laid off all tomatoes............. Tempted to make miso soup with sea weed to see if that helps. Other day I also had some burning in my chest from that acid...tonight not the case. I probably need to start making green soups or blended salads without tomato. I'm just not even interested in eating these days as I don't want to have to deal with this but then again I have to deal with it to solve the "challenge." It's a first for me but I remember when we age the body needs enzymes so maybe now is my time for that. I wonder if a peppermint drink would help. I thought maybe it was Gloria who mentioned GSE (Grapeseed Seed Extract) to sip a little down in water helps. Do I have this right? I think it was teeth talk or maybe someone wrote that privately to me, before I had this problem. Is this what I am describing Acid Reflux???????? Maybe need chiro adjustment? Guest guest
HI Suzi, Thanks for reply. I'm in the experimental mode and last night this is what I did and so far so good: bought fresh fennel and had a few slices made some veggie soup, using white potatoes, mushrooms, onion slices, carrots, celery and "ginger." After soup done, let cool and added miso to it. Oh, I also did have some soy yogurt something I have not had in probably 25 or so years. Whatever I did worked so far. Today I have had only the soup left over, added miso and still no symptoms have come forth. I did read at one point that fennel even helped with body odor and so far I am dry and not hint of any smell, no deodorant either as I was not getting results from those I had tried so far. My chiro was the one who hooked me into the eating a few fennel seeds every day or so, but since I had the fresh fennel, I see results so far using that. Amazing and wanted to hold off sharing with the group all this till I know for sure I am seeing results, but since you posted, I wanted to reply so others dealing with what I was can give it a try. Thanks for the enz. help as well. Now I didn't have an avocado that I was doing daily and wonder if that attributed to that feeling. I'll post away once I have more info. on myself. Again, thanks. It was absolutely a horrible feeling to have that acid or maybe it was bile come up, make me cough and then make me heave sometimes. Yikes.....feels good to be back to normal! carolSuzanne <suziesgoats@...> wrote: Sorry it took me so long Carol... been kind of busy with a baby goat. Guest guest
Carol, I would be interested in everything you did to help with your problem as my partner is going through exactly the same thing as you. So you did the soup and the fennel, what supplements are you taking now to help with the problem etc., He would be grateful for your advice. peta --- Suzanne <suziesgoats@...> wrote: > Sorry it took me so long Carol... been kind of busy > with a baby goat. > > Try using pancreatic enzymes with meals when they > have symptoms of indigestion that cannot be > attributed to a specific cause. Guest guest
Peta, At the moment, I have not done anything different then I just recently posted. I did the test tonight to see if the bread that I had other day with my salad would stir up the problem. I also had an avocado with salad and no side effects. I do remember testimonies doing the Hallelujah Diet was very helpful and you do a search on acid reflux testimonies or even look at several of their health tips. I am a vegan and don't do any animal products too. If I can help further, I'm here. Suzi suggested enzymes and I do believe that is needed. I did eat last night earlier soy yogurt, came home and had the following for soup: ginger in the soup, fresh, and then the fresh potatoes to make the broth, carrots, celery, pinch of purple onion...that was it! Hope your partner finds answers. I did buy a supplement but have not used it yet that has enzymes in it by Country Life. carolgPeta Celleste <petacelleste@...> wrote: Carol,I would be interested in everything you did to helpwith your problem as my partner is going throughexactly the same thing as you.
