There is no sane reason to have him circumsized either. It is a barbaric practice which only serves the lining of the pockets of the surgeons. She needs to keep the diaper off as much as possible and keep the area around the glans and under the foreskin cleansed. This will entail pulling the foreskin all the way back to ensure proper cleansing. It should be cleansed after every urination. Are these antibiotics topical? Also, is this infection bacterial or fungal? The infection will clear up by itself if she will just keep the area cleansed and keep him out of a diaper as much as is possible. Is this child breastfed or is she feeding him formula/baby foods/cereals? I hope this helps some. Knowing more would be of great help though. -- Peace be with you, Flo. Guest guest
Don, the baby is breastfed and live a very holistic and healthy lifestyle, even uses cloth diapers, but he is in a lot of pain. I kind of thought maybe some colloidal silver would help..you think? Thank you so much. Guest guest
That has nothing to do with it. Some of my boys are done and some are not. The boys who are done had the same problem so that doctor is wrong. One of my boys had a chronic problem with infections and yeast infections....and he was done. My boys who are not done have not had the problem so it doesn't really matter if they are or not. that doctor is wrong about pulling the skin back as well......if you do that you can tear it and then it would get infected anyways. My 7 year old still cannot pull the skin back very far. BTW.....2 of my older boys are really ticked at us for having them done......they feel we had them mutilated (their words) without their consent and they have both had problems as adults that they have been told they would not have had if they had not been done.(which is why the younger boys were not done.) Guest guest
I know that. My son is not circumcised and neither is my husband. My midwife was frantic that I wouldn't allow the doctor to cut my kid./ I told her "his Daddy hasn't any problems and he won't either" and she advised me to slowly push the skin back as far as possible when we bathed him and it would eventually stretch and go all the way back, it did. Son is now 12 and I simply ask if he "bathed everywhere, privates, properly, ears, and belly button." He does it all without complaint except for the belly button, but I think he is growing an experiment in there. I make him clean the laboratory once a month for inspection. Guest guest
Exactly. I think it is irresponsible of doctors to suggest that boys be done. GGEESSHHH. .....My older daughter had chronic eye infections starting at 10 days old and no-one suggested we cut her eyes out......that is rediculous. I know some people have their boys cut because of the risk(which is fairly low) of cancer later on but my answer to that is.....breast cancer risk is a lot higher in girls.....does that mean you will have their breasts removed at birth too? I just don't understand some peoples thinking.....lol. Kids learn how to take care of themselves if they are taught right. Personal opinion here.......2 of my ex's were cut (many problems there)and my hubby is not....uncut all the way....so much better. Guest guest
Just be careful about who your friend takes him to for 'medical' help. Most (ALL?) doctors, nurses, hospital employees.... etc.. are reporters and must by law report any and ALL abuse and neglect to the local child abuse agency (CPS). They could consider this child neglected over the lack of vaccinations and the other things mentioned and may remove him from his parents. Even tho the parents are doing the right thing. I STRONGLY disagree with it but that is what they have done to many others. This is just one more gross example of an out of control system that believes that the child you gave birth to is actually theirs. diane in nw mt

Guest guest
I don't know one person who has gotten cancer from that. I do however know many women who have gotten breast cancer......but should their breasts have been removed at birth to prevent it???? Guest guest
I've heard and read that farms that use chemical fertilizers produce healthy foods. I think it is just what they want us to believe. My husband is not circumcised, he is 60 years old (to my 38) and all his parts are in good condition. His father died with all his parts working in his eighties. I think cleanliness, as for women too, is everything, especially healthgiving. ----- Original Message ----- From: Candace Podratz I've heard and read online that NOT circumcising raises the risks of cancer quite dramatically. Guest guest
I totally agree with . It is mutilation. An adult has NO right to do this to a child. There is no reason to have it done. If I were making laws, I would impose severe punishments for anyone mutilating others, especially children. Its the absolute worst form of bullying. You do it because the child cant stop you. Its sick! If someone told you that it was good for a child to remove a finger or toe, would you? Don't be so naive. Just because you read it on-line doesn't mean anything. Guest guest
Oh my gosh, don’t let them do the circumcision!!!!!! That is about the most cruel thing you can do to a little baby. Have you ever seen pictures on the internet of a baby boy going through it? It will make you sick to your stomach. http://www.cirp.org/library/procedure/plastibell/ For them to even suggest doing it to an 8-mo. old is hideous! Tell her not to even go to the urologist. Unfortunately, doctors don’t teach a new mother how to care for an uncircumcised penis. Someone else mentioned here that you need to clean it after he urinates. I had two boys, both uncircumcised, and one ended up with the tip of his penis closing up so tight that he couldn’t even pee – just because the stupid doctor didn’t tell me when he was born how to take care of it. If I had been cleaning it, that wouldn’t have happened. The tip of his penis was full of smegma that plugged up the hole so the pee couldn’t get through. I took him to the pediatrician, and all he did was pull the foreskin back, and all that plugged up pee went flying everywhere – mostly on the doctor – HAHAHA – served him right. That happened when he was less than a year old. And ever since then, it was fine – keep it clean, and you will have to teach him when he is old enough how to pull the skin back and wash it. Good luck to her – we vote NO for circumcision. Carol ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Would you benefit from a more effective and healthy immune system? Guest guest
That must have been some hospital. I have a 3 year old and 7 year old boys and hospitals I went to do not do them regularily.....you have to ask to have it done and many doctors will not do them as they don't feel it is necessary. My youngest sons doctors (many specialists) asked us not to have him done(they didn't know we were already not) as he has a heart defect and they said it would put too much stress on his little body. That alone told us a lot and these were well known cardiologists and pediatricians at sick kids hospital. I also have grandsons under 5 and the hospitals that they were born in did not do them either (they were born in different cities) Kathy L.Angeldestiny's Dream NurseryRomanticsilk CraftsPlease cast your vote for my site on the Top 100www.romanticsilk.comLondon Cage Bird ConnectionLondon_Cage_Bird_Connection/?yguid=192859316 ----- Original Message ----- From: Candace Podratz health Sent: Wednesday, January 04, 2006 5:01 PM Subject: RE: baby boy question Brock is 3. They don't do that any more....actually I had a choice for my oldest who is now 26.....although there was pressure to have it done then.....not now though. EVERYONE gets their kids circumcized. In the hospital they didn't even ask me... they just asked "Is Tuesday good?" "Yep!" And that was it. Hmmm tradition indeed. The answers are already within us. So it's still there.<G> Interestingly, my daughter is now pregnant with a boy, due in March. She's going to have to make this decision, but I assume she'll decide in favor of circumcision since her dh is Jewish. Guest guest
About 18 years ago a very good friend of mine was stationed with her husband at a military base in Germany. She was pregnant and had a baby boy. She was given no choice in the matter but was told when the baby was going to be circumcised. I don't know just exactly what happened during the surgery but an artery was cut. My friend, a few days post major C-section that was not a bikini cut, was soon on a military transport being brought back to the states with her baby son. The baby was transfused twice during the plane ride due to the loss of blood. Once here in the states a surgical repair was done but it was touch and go with that baby for quite some time, not to mention the trauma his mother went through both mentally and emotionally and physically from enduring a plane ride in a jump seat in the back of a military transport when she should have been in her home taking it easy and recuperating from her own surgery. Circumcision is surgery and in any type of medical procedure things can go wrong. Do a lot of research and reading and make an informed decision based on the knowledge you've accumulated. Remember, knowledge is power. L.

It is just what they wish you to believe. If what they were telling us were actually true then there would be a whole lot less sick folks around. Most every person living in the " civilized agricultural " countries are nutrient deficient from eating nutrient deficient foods grown on large agri-farms for profit. Most of the soil is seriously mineral depleted which is why they resort to chemicals. Unfortunately, these chemical fertilizers only put in NPK. It is the many micro-nutrients that must be available for the plants to fully utilize NPK and to create properly nutrient dense foods. Even the so called 'organic' foods can be nutrient depleted. A lot of the large organic farms are in it for profit not health. It is way better to either raise your own foods or to make sure that those you purchase come from sustainable small organic farmers who aren't trying to become wealthy at the expense of your health. We must not be fooled by the moniker 'organic'. Just because a food is listed as organic does not make it nutrient dense. Yes, personal cleanliness for all is especially healthgiving and very necessary. -- Peace be with you, Flo.
