Good morning ... I must relay an awful thing that happened the other day.

I am down 120 pounds since 4/18/00 and feeling awesome - lookin' even

better! <VBG>

I decided it was time for new clothes, and ventured off by myself to one of

the new shopping malls in our area. Well ... I wandered around for 2 hours

trying to figure out *where* I should go to shop! I went to the women's

departments where I have shopped for 25 years or so -- and everything was

WAY too big (which is a very good thing)! I honestly had NO idea where to

shop for myself -- at 52 I do not consider myself a " misses " . So, I left

without buying anything ... sat in my car and thought " the ultimate has

happened - I have forgotten how to shop! " What a sad day ...

I was at the memorial service for a co-worker on Tuesday; I sat in front of

a woman that I worked with for 5 years, and I hadn't seen her for several

years. We sat and chatted, basic chit chat, when all of a sudden, she put

her hand on my arm and said " you're Ann, aren't you? " I said " yes " and she

said " oh my gawd -- I did not even recognize you " ! heh heh heh ... I love it!

Like so many of you have said, I have bones where I didn't know I had them

.... I never knew an expensive mattress would have so many extra bumps and

lumps -- then I find out it's not the mattress -- it's my BONY butt! I

love it ...

I too am trying to venture into the dating world ... what a concept ... it

truly is a whole new deal than when I was 25 and dating! Not only do I

have kids (OK they're young men but they are a couple of intimidating guys

- 6'7 " and 6'5 " and 295/275 respectively) to deal with, I also have to

deal with saggy boobs, a bony butt, and no clothes to wear that don't hang

on me! I love it ...

I'm off to California next week for 10 days to watch my beautiful daughter

graduate from nursing school ... and can go and wear a beautiful new DRESS

that is a size that I haven't worn for almost 30 years ... life is good ...

I love it ...

THANK you Dr. R ...

Ann
