Cayenne & Other Meds

Was wanting to know if it would be alright to give Carl cayenne while he is on other medications for blood pressure and his heart.

He is still in hospital cause his blood pressure is still high they don't understand that they are causing it and he just wants to be home with us.

Trying to get him transferred back closer to home and was going to sneak him some cayenne and green smoothies.

Just wanted to make sure it was safe to take cayenne while on the doctors medications.

Thanks

do you know what meds he is on? Ask the drs or have Carl ask if he can eat hot peppers? This way you'll know if it's okay... I would think so.. cayenne and garlic are food, but not knowing what he is on ..... if you know I'll look it up. SuziPS Raw garlic cloves for the BP...like 8 or so a day. Thanks Suzi

They have released him now I've got no way to get him home. They took

him up there and now they won't bring him back.

Will find out about meds when I get him home and let you know. Should

have a list of do's and don'ts anyway.

Hey Suzi

Thats why his blood pressure is up because he hasn't had any garlic,

he usually has 2 - 3 cloves daily. Wonder if the hospital will let me

give him garlic (they transferring him near home now to get meds

right).

They've got no idea about nutrition to help thats for sure.

Take him some raw garlic to eat... again, ask Carl to ask them about any foods to avoid, etc... tell them he loves garlic and cayenne peppers...rainbowegret <egret.09@...> wrote: Hey SuziThats why his blood pressure is up because he hasn't had any garlic, he usually has 2 - 3 cloves daily. Suzi could probably answer this one best. But I have a question. What meds is he on? Peace, love, laughter “There's one way to find out if a man is honest - ask him. ---the green smoothies ,a little at a time is probably ok; I have

taken some cayenne when I was on bp meds but mine is not real high;

its enough to raise BP just being in a hospotal.

Tracey,

I pray all goes well with Carl along with you and your family. I imagine what a tough time you all must be going through. You have my thoughts and prayers. If Carl is in a hospital and has high blood pressure, I am sure they are giving him meds to lower it in which case you would need to watch what you give him so that it does not get too low as too low can be just as dangerous as too high. My Papa went through this whilst in the hospital. He has always had perfect blood pressure and all the meds they were giving him got it too low that he had to be in ICU.

Keep us posted and all the best to you and your family

hugs and blessings,

Tone

Good one Suzi :-) I took him a bulb of garlic last night and a small

knife. Also took him couple bananas and plums.

Will ask today about the cayenne as I want to take him a green

smoothie and maybe a blended salad and some almonds.

You would'nt believe what they gave a diabetic with high blood sugar

that just had a heart attack when he arrived last night - corned beef

sandwiches, roast beef and sliced cheese (on wholemeal - ha), orange

juice in containers, peaches in container, yoghurt - its unbelievable

how ignorant they are.

Otherwise though he looks good it was great to see him has been the

hardest 6 days I have ever had not being able to be with him.

Blessings

Hi

They have him on about 5 different tablets, heart tablets, blood

pressure, blood sugar, cholestrol I don't know I think he will rattle

if I shake him. Carl certainly ain't used to all that sort of stuff in

his system.

They gave him a list last night but the kids were getting restless and

he was getting stressed and dizzy (blood pressure up) so I had to

leave. Will see if I can copy the list down today sometime when we go

in.

Hi Rica thanks, that exactly the problem I think it is a totally

foreign environment for him he has never been sick and showed no real

signs of having a heart attack and according to the echogram they did

he has had 2 previous heart attacks that we didn't know about (I'm not

supposed to know about he asked my mum not to tell me but mum thought

she should so I know his condition and risk etc)

Hey Tone, thanks for that and yes it has been the worst time

especially since he has been 2 1/2 hours away. At least now he is

close to home just up the road actually.

Hi Tracey, If I remember correctly, someone (I think it's Suzi) has a link that shows reactions with standard meds and herbal remedies. I'll check to see if it is in the files. With all those meds, aren't "they" concerned about his liver? I know I would be. I gotta tell ya, I am impressed and encouraged by your care for him! He is truly blessed to have you. We all are. Hi

Thanks that really made me smile. I am just glad to have the man that

I fell in love with almost 10 years ago back and so are the kids. The

last few years he had become consumed so much by other things that he

had almost forgotten about us with all the stress and pressure he put

him under.

Yes they are concerned about his liver now he home they want blood

tests and he has to collect his urine for 24 hours one day early next

week so they can check it.

Carl has been raw for 1 day and I have been raw for 2 days now and

feeling good. He has lost 11 lb last Saturday when he had the heart

atatck and I have lost 9 lb

Hi

OK I didn't read this post this morning. I put all Carl's meds

including the aspirin in and the only reactions are:

Aspirin with alcohol - not a problem

Simvastation with grapefruit - not a problem

Lisinopril with Aspirin mmmm

Carvediol with Aspirin mmmm again

Both blood pressure drugs with Aspirin - nothing major but

interaction is poorly documented.

Tracey, I posted basically the same thing, just the whole page. Hopefully others will read it too and offer some advice. I added capsicum, the "hot/active" ingredient in cayenne. What other websites have you used?
