The organization is called Claims Management Inc. Their web address

is http://www.fixmyclaim.com. They have sent a letter to my

insurance company requesting that they cover my MGB. I'm still

waiting to hear back from CMI. All corespondence goes through CMI

now, I do not have to deal with my insurance company at all.

Struggling and in your heart , we can all totally relate . Glad

you've joined our group of friends . Hope by now you gotten a chance

to read other messages and found what you've mentioned about Jon is

like writing about our kids . A parent always knows best for their

child , so always listen and follow your heart . Glad your not alone

with this challenging dual dignosis and you're doing something about

it and hope WE all could be of some help and comfort . Take care .

Hi jamie, well my nathan now 10 is doing great now,

but we have been doing behavior management since age 3

and med trial and error since probably 4-5yrs of age,

behaviors were a nightmare, but we are doing

great this year, very little or short lived lowed

tempered moments so knock on wood, im waiting for you

know what to hit the fan, uuuugh! behaviors

included, stereotypie, no verbalizations except

echolalia, lack of eye contact, hand flapping,

rocking, horrible drop down tantrums, biting himself

and others, head banging, self stimualtions--usually

with dangly type things like strings, lining up things

around the house---still does---mostly toys, light

swith flipping repetivetly, door slamming, very little

need of sleep, more delayed learning then usual ds

child, delay in potty training compared to usual ds

child, parallel playing, sensory issues, and still

major food and texture issues. I think i got them all,

but like soo many here, nathan has done soo and

learned to stop soo much that i might of missed

something. As for the meds, we have tried many, i am

against antipsychotics, i know they help many on the

list, just my personal feelings, to many extra

peramital sid effects one cant stop with long term

use. We did try risperdal once but had horrible side

effects against that was it for those, ritalin has

hleped calm down intensity of nathan's behaviors well,

he has been taking concerta 54mg a good 6months i

think and its even better than ritalin, no more

moodiness ups and downs. Many of the meds we tried

nathanhad bad side iffects to, one even made his skin

peel off everywhere, was awful, we have found the

lower the dose the better too, he also now takes 25mg

of luvox to help with his OCD, it helps here a little

but really helps nathan's mood is also an

antidepressant, and over the past year on it nathan

has even got quite a vocabualary, still mostly one

word things, and lots of pointing, he doesnt

understand where or how questions and even refers to

himslef in third person, eg: " nathan's house " when he

wants to go home, he has never liked crowds or to be

gone for more than a few moments even to grandparents.
