Guest guest
Hi , Congratulations on your " great " weight loss! You sound like you are doing wonderful! Thanks for the encouragement on exercise. I am having a hard time getting myself into it. I am doing good otherwise, down 51 so far. Are you planning on getting back to NC at some time? I was talking to Kathy and we both would like to get back there next summer when we're about a year out. Maybe the picnic. Then we could take another picture! Take care and say " Hi " to Patsy for me. Peggy > Dear Dana, > > I can't believe it has been four months already since surgery. It has been an interesting journey to say the least. I am doing great. Dana your tidbits of advice along the way should be published in a book. Each time I had any problem at all from the lethargic episode I had in month 2 to learning to get enough protein in my body your help was always on the money. As of Nov 10th I have lost 82 lbs. (yes that is 82 lbs. I can hardly believe it myself. My health has improved dramatically from my blood sugar to blood pressure everything is in the perfect range for the first time in 20 years. I have abandoned thousands of dollars worth of clothes and my wardrobe now consists of 4-5 outfits that will get me by to the next size change. (TOO MUCH FUN!!!!) My energy level is what it was years ago. I still exercise religiously and have increased the level of exercise as I have lost weight. I honestly believe that the exercise is the most effective thing we can do post-op to maximize weight loss and sustain steady weight loss. I have tried to exercise in the past and just suffered trying to maintain the exercise over a period of time. The surgery has insured weight loss and this has increased my capacity to perform the exercise and increase the level as time goes by. To all you pre-ops plan on exercise now you will be amazed what it does for you post-op. Hello to the class of Jul 10th hope everyone is doing well. Congratulations Dana I read your recent post about your weight loss you had lost 76 llbs when I saw you in July I'll bet you are quite a babe now!!! > > Milligan > 350/268/??? > > >

Guest guest
, Hi!!!HOw are you? I'm your littermate.... We sat in the waiting room with your wife when you went in to surgery. I was right after you. I wondered how you were doing. I lost 60 lbs. I feel great. I talked to Beverly from St. Luois a while ago. She is doing well too. She and I are about the same as far as weightloss. Hope you are as happy as I am about doing this surgery. Guest guest
Hi , Sounds like you are doing great. I have had no significant problems. I have had a couple of minor problems that Dana helped me through. I was very fatigued and lethargic back in August for about 3 weeks. I tried to stop my protonix and had stomach problems. Had to start taking it again am doing fine now. Have you had any problems seems I saw a post of yours about reflux? God bless you and say Hi to your husband. & Patsy Milligan 4 month anniversary > Date: Thu, 14 Nov 2002 09:54:32 -0600 > > Dear Dana, > > I can't believe it has been four months already since surgery. Guest guest
Hello Kathy, Its great to hear from you and to know you are doing so well. The clothes thing is really a lot of fun. I imagine that we would all look quite different in a new picture now. Maybe we can take one in July in NC, we are planning to go back at one year. I hope you continue to be a loser and we hope to see you soon. & Patsy Re: 4 month anniversary > , > Congratulations! I was just looking at the picture of you, Bev, Peggy & > myself the other day. Guest guest
Hi paul, this is Pat Dixon, I was in Statesville with you also on July 10. Hope you don't mind me eves dropping on your note to other people. I'm so glad to hear that your doing so well. I have lost 62 lbs so far. I'm into water aerobics but it sounds like your doing much better with your exercising than I am. Your right it is exciting to be much smaller, but a little fustrating knowing that I need to hold back on getting to many cloths right now. I just got back on Nov. 9 from taking my sister (she flew in from Ariz) to Statesville. She had her surgery by Dr. R on Nov 6. It's become a real family thing. Hope we can keep in touch & possibly see you all again some time. Pat & Graham Re: 4 month anniversary > > > > , > > Congratulations! Guest guest
Hi everyone, Well today marks 4 months I have had my band. I have lost 42 lbs to date. I couldn't believe it when the scale said 206, the weight has been dropping like wild fire, better not jenks it, and not say to much. Anyway, I have lost 27 lbs since my first fill, and I can still say that I have very good restriction. I truly thought by now that it would have loosened up, but it is still pretty tight, I guess you could say I am on the soft food syndrome, only occasionaly does solid food work for me. Maybe this might be the only fill I need. We will see, anyways, I am definately doing the TRACY DANCE, and am very excited everyday that I look in the mirror and see my body changing. THANKS DR. Aceves, I am a very happy patient. Tracie Bartek - Aledo, Texas Dr. Aceves Lap Band Doll - (one of many)248/206/150DOB - 6/24/
Guest guest
Thanks and Dianne Yes I guess I am at a decent le3vel if I am dropping weight, huh, because to me I still feel to tight 80% of the time.... I hate the golf ball feeling in the chest so I try to stay away from foods that might give me that. Thanks again, I will be posting pics soon maybe when I hit 200. Tracie K.
