Guest guest
greetings, all: 1. I did consult a PS here in the states (Athina Ginnapolous in Chapel Hill, who's excellent) and just my abdominoplasty would be 6,000$ for the facility and $4,500 for the surgeon's fee. I have 8- 10 " of skin that needs to be removed. She and my PCP said that the flap is harmful to my back (hearniated [sp] disk at S1). 2. The same procedure for the facility and the procedure is $3,400 in Costa Rica. This does not include the fee for the flight and the recovery ranch. 3. As you all know, I was approved, then cancelled while in the hospital doing pre-admission by our friends at BC/BS of NC. 4. I need $$$ no matter what so my flap and I are going to be together for awhile (no, I don't have a credit card, nor do I want one). Maybe I need to hold some charity bake sales. 5. If any of you need it, I have the remining information packets that Drs. and Rashi brought to the party. I will bring them to the next support group meeting. 6. I had a few questions from you folks that I have posed to the Docs in CR about screening the blood supply, sterilization of equipment, etc... as soon as I get their answers, I'll post them. I think that's it! BTW: - the pics are fantastic! I was so tired that Sunday, I fell asleep at 7:00 pm and woke up at 6:00 am on Monday. My legs still hurt from dancing - you can lose weight, but it won't make you younger (LOL). -Ginny I.
Guest guest
That's quite a price difference. I see why everyone is talking " Costa Rica " now.
