6 month check up with my Internist

Just had my 6 month checkup since my 03/14/01 MGB with my Internist. I was

actually 1 month late....but anyway!

All my blood work was perfect and certainly better than prior to the MGB.

My kidney and liver work-up was perfect!

One of my Internist's other patients had weight loss surgery the same month

that I did, but the other patient insisted on having a lap RNY! My physician

was opposed to the RNY due to the info I had supplied.....that patient died

last week from multiple complications! He was sick the entire time and had

fistulas, etc...

As we all know, all weight loss surgeries carry potential big risks and

require vigilance postsurgically to ensure we intake vitamins, nutrients, and

balanced diet! But we, that had the MGB, and especially with Dr. Rutledge,

have had the safest weight loss surgical procedure! I praise God every day!

My Internist is more than thrilled.....and he did not even recognize

me....lol
